The X-Rap is a jerkbait meant to mimic an injured baitfish. Your success with the lure is going to depend on the action you impart with it. So if you're quite familiar with jerkbaits, you should be able to impart the proper cadence to catch fish. If you're a beginner, you might have to practice a bit before finding any kind of success. Used this lure for the first time today and landed a Spanish mackerel and 2 king mackerel casting into bait pods. Just came back to order some more. Update: I've used the blue sardine for years and have never had a more productive lure for gulf coast saltwater fishing. Whether I'm trolling for King mackerel or casting into bait pods. I definitely recommend using a metal leader with it though, Spanish mackerel will cut your line going for it like scissors. I've caught many other fish species on it as well. ... show more
