Description
The Ranger Products model 458TS is a special net that has many qualities of a rubber net without the extra weight. It is the perfect catch and release net, where the fish will lay calmly across the bottom while you remove the hook. The net features a knotless, hook-free rubber coated nylon flat bottom net. It has ¾-Inch holes that create very little resistance in the water. The heavy- duty octagon handle automatically lines up for quick extension and for sliding up into the hoop for easy storage. The net collapses down to only 31x20-Inch making it the perfect net for bass boats, kayaks, canoes, or any other type of fishing.

No more handlining!
absolutely amazing salmon fishing net! Wide and deep to accommodate the thrashing salmon that can be difficult to net! I run very long leaders on some rods 8-10ft leaders behind the dipsys so there is usually hand lining require to net, but this will telescope out plenty far where the person with the rod can walk backwards and you can reach out with the net and get the fish with little difficulty.

Wow, what a great product. This replaces a good net that looks similar and has a telescoping handle, but it didn't have rubber netting or a flat bottom. And even though the Ranger net has a longer handle than the old net, it actually stores in less space in the bass boat, where space is always at a premium! Brilliant! And it is so much easier to unhook big bass in Ranger net and involves much less trauma for the fish prior to release or going into the livewell. Don't hesitate to replace your old net with one of these.

I ordered a bunch of these and two out of the dozen that arrived were damaged. One had a cut in the net and a bent frame. The other had a bent frame. A third was missing a plastic cap but I overlooked that deficiency. If you order one inspect it carefully. The nets themselves are well made and I expect them to give us years of service.

Best net on the market for tangle-free netting!

Perfect! Just what I needed! While fishing the Kenai River here in Alaska I sometimes have offers to net my fish. I always send them to my smaller Ranger net because hooks don't get stuck and the fish doesn't get tangled up in the net with its twisting to get free! By far the best net out there and the only one I'll use. Had gotten the shorter version for kayak fishing and it works perfectly for that with the shorter handle, but for the river or a boat I needed the extra length to net for myself and not rush breaking a rod. Great net!
