  • Very Sturdy Stainless Steel Material - Good Thick Hammered Powder Coat Paint - Nice Length
Ordered this Garden Rake and Leaf Rake -18.5 Inch Wide & 33 Inch up to 60" long for use in my landscaping, lawn leaf, and debris removal. My old wood handle rake has been chewed on by the dog. Half the "plastic" teeth were broken out of my old one. Recently, I was shopping online for some landscape fabric and saw this nice "all stainless steel" rake that extends up to 60" long and ordered it. Really like this rake. I Like that it's stainless steel and will never rust. Also, the dog won't be chewing this one up!. Also like the wide spread and designed tines. The tines frame has welded braces across the face and know it will last me many years. Love the long handle as I can reach all way behind my shrubs to get out debris and level out mulch around them and still stay out in front of them. Very handy rake. It screws together on the handles and came with a bolt to run thru the rake tine base w/hole and even came with a wrench to tighten it up. Only took (5) minutes and it was permanently ready to use today. It has a nice thick coat of hammered look powder coat paint and should endure any weather for years to come. The soft grip handle makes it comfortable to use. Happy with order ... show more

  • metal
Comes in 5 parts and took no more than 5 minutes to put together (probably less). It’s all metal. The picks are a little flexible, so I would store it upside down, but it’s nice to be able to go over bumpy grass and such and still be efficient.

  • Strong rake with stronger than expected tines.
This is a strong metal rake that probably could be classified as being between and leaf rake and a garden rake. It is not strong enough to till soil, but it definitely stronger than most leaf rakes. The tines on this rake are thicker and stronger than any other leaf rakes I can remember. Yes, this would work just fine for leaves, and it would probably pull up some loose grass in the process. You do have to assemble the long rake handle. All it takes to attach the head of the rake to the first section of the staff is to insert one bolt and using the provided wrench they give you to screw the lock nut into place. Then you simply screw the other handle sections together and you have a new rake. In spite of you needing to assemble this rake, it is strong and appears durable. If you use this at a barn, like I will, this is perfect for raking horse manure, wood shavings, and loose hay from around the barn. This rake is that perfect go between that is not too weak, and not too strong. For me, this rake is just right. ... show more

  • Needs Assembly
This rake is larger than my current one, however, it doesn't seem like a commercial grade rake. The handle is made out of 4 metal pieces that screw together to make a long stick. My issue is that after using it for a while the handle stick will loosen up. Also, the plastic that covers the connection between the pieces will be damaged in the heat as do all plastics. ... show more

  • Sturdy, adjustable handle length, long shaft, broad tines, feels like it will last
Some assembly needed but it's straightforward, screw in the extensions and then add the bolt and nut to the tine-head. Wrenches are included. I put the nut on the top so that if it ever worked loose we would see it was loosening before it falls off. The nut felt tight going on so it probably won't be a problem. Can be set to different lengths from child-sized to tall adult. The top piece has a hole for hanging. I was skeptical at first, extension poles are often flimsy, but this feels good, used it for more than an hour right after it arrived, and the tines are much better than our old rake, and broader as well. I needed to take the top extension off to store it in our shed but it only takes a moment to unscrew it. This rake is built better than our old rake which has lasted many years. The old rake has flimsier tines. Well worth the $20 price even before coupons. Very happy with the product. ... show more

  • A good Travel Rake
Ok, "Travel Rake" is only partially tongue-in-cheek :) The rake head is a sturdy yet flexible (like lawn rakes should be) powder-coated metal. It will last. The handle is powder-coated metal tube, with the connections being threaded, except for the connection to the head, which uses a through bolt. The rake is sturdy enough that I expect it to last for years. And if you are short on storage space, or (yes) move frequently, having a handle which you can unscrew into approximately 16" sections could be handy. Or you can elect to not add a section or two, making a rake which is perhaps less unwieldy if that is an issue for you. ... show more

  • Long, stiff handle rake
Doesn't take long to assemble. The handle is stiff and the rake works fairly well. The grip on the end of the last handle piece isn't glued and, allowing it to spin on the handle.

  • Sturdy and strong
This is a really nice take. The times are cut from metal that is sturdier than the flimsy thin metal rakes are often cut from. It seems like it will last a long time. It was easy to assemble, just screw the handle sections together and then attach the business end of the rake with a single screw and nut using two small wrenches, which come with it. Because the handle is screwed together, you can even remove a section to make it shorter for a shorter user (put those kiddos to work!) or for maneuvering between bushes, etc. My only concern is the yellow grip is somewhat loose and slides around—it may need to be glued for ease of use, but that’s an easy fix. Happy with this choice. ... show more
