Rainbow never sells their products on the internet or on this site. This is previously owned, older, or refurbished, and does not come with the original 20 year warranty. If any repairs are needed, it comes out of your own pocket. For just a few dollars more, you can get the newest model, attachments, AND the 20 year warranty.

I absolutely love these vacuums. I have family members that have had Rainbows for over 40 years and they work just as good as the day they brought them home, without ever being serviced. Yes the price is unreal but even if you buy a refurbished unit, it will most likely be the last vacuum you will ever buy. The motors in these things do not die. Yes it's a minor pain to empty and clean the water collection tank after every use. Yes they are a little heavy. But I will gladly sacrifice that for a machine that moves an enormous amount of air, cleans like you wouldn't believe, and leaves the exhausted air smelling great (its filtered twice, once when the intake air gets blasted into the water, and yet again when it passes through a hepa filter, which takes years to get nasty since the air is already so clean). You can even dump scented solutions in the water to make your home smell like whatever you want it to smell like. When I got this we had just gotten our carpets professionally steam cleaned, I vacuumed a small area about 6x6 of carpet, and the water basin was full of dirt, sand, and all kinds of other nastiness. That nastiness went down the toilet and gone forever. Not sitting in a vacuum bag in your closet growing whatever grows in there. Got hardwoods and don't think you need a powerful vacuum? Think again. We swept our hardwoods, used a microfiber dusting cloth, then hit it with a Rainbow. You would think this thing pulls dirt from under the wood or something, because again after doing the approximate 1400 sq ft of hardwoods we have, the basin was loaded with dirt. I'm gonna run this thing til it dies, if it ever does, then I will spend the approx $230 for a new motor. In my opinion this is the only vacuum that works. Other manufacturers are always talking about suction. It takes very little airflow/suction to hold even a bowling ball on a hose. The Rainbow works by moving an ENORMOUS amount of airflow through the nozzle, and at the end of the day this is the only way to pull dirt. Suction is useless without airflow. Canisters, bags, and filters restrict this airflow. So having a clean canister or bag works great for a few seconds, then it gets restricted. Rainbows don't have this issue. All the nastiness gets forced into the water, not restricting airflow. Hope this helps, I am hooked for life on this vacuum.

I recently moved to a home with carpet and my allergies became ridiculous! I have always used Kirby brand vacuums and have 3 (one on each floor of my home) after doing my homework I decided to buy the rainbow e2 gold on a whim and kept my fingers crossed that it was as great as all the reviews claimed, and it is!!! I LOVE that it uses water instead of bags, which saves a ton of money..also, being able to see all the dirt you pick up is absolutely gratifying! The scents smell really wonderful and I run the "air purifier" setting all the time when I need to humidify or clean the air. This vacuum unlike the others never loses suction, EVER! It's also easy to carry...My Kirby vacuums have been banished to the basement at this point! I also purchased the Aquamate 3 nozzle and it literally makes routine shampooing as simple and fast as vacuuming! My home/cars/RV are cleaner than anyone I know thanks to this rainbow! If you can afford the price buy it! If not check out auction sites which have great deals on older ore owned models which are just as wonderful! I love my rainbow!!

I just bought a Rainbow E-Series 2 speed vacuum Type 12, or gold series. Mine looks just like the one pictured. I ran it for the first time yesterday, and had to change the water basin 13 times due to the filth! I thought my house was clean because I had been vacuuming twice a week with a $700.00 Dyson DC-65. I'm not sure the Dyson does anything but move dirt around. I also have a Kirby gen 3, that's even worse than the Dyson. I have severe allergies and asthma and even wearing an expensive dust mask when cleaning I would have an allergy/asthma attack later that evening. This happened every time. Every time except yesterday. I spent all day cleaning my house, including the carpets, upholstery, hard floors, and even under the beds, and not only does my house smell great, I had no asthma/allergy symptoms after cleaning and still haven't nearly 24 hours later. Don't let anyone tell you that Rainbow vacuums are junk and don't work. They are simply wonderful and the best whole house cleaning system on the market!

I bought a rainbow vac 16years ago and will never buy another vac again this vac is the best. It works today just like it did 16years ago.still have the same parts and everything looks and works great , NO need to buy anyother kind of vav RAINBOW YOU ROCK!!
