Had a major issue with dust and debris on the sensor of my Canon 5D Mark II. Ordered this kit (including the cleaning solution), and now can shoot at any f stop without the photos being unusable (Yes, it was that bad that even using my well known Adobe programs would have taken way too long to clean up the mess, especially at f/22). I'd already tried cleaning the sensor several times, but didn't have any cleaning fluid, and honestly, was kind of afraid to use anything liquid. Did my research, and decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did. Just a word of caution. The swabs included in this kit are specifically for crop factor cameras, so I'll save those for my 7D II. I already had some full frame swabs that I used instead. Speaking of swabs, I found they work better if you bend the stems before attempting to swab the sensor. Much less chance of scratching or breaking the sensor than applying pressure on it by trying to bend the swab while on the sensor. Love the little case too. Very handy for keeping things together and in one place. I'm notorious for losing small camera gear, which is why I'm so happy this set came with the lens pen type brush. Had a larger one for years, but of course, I have no clue where it's hiding, now that I need it. Interesting note..... photos look much much better (used a blue sky as my tester), but when I look in the view finder, all the "stuff" I saw is still showing (including what looks to be a dead ant...... don't ask.. I haven't a clue.. LOL), but if that's where all that stuff is, no worries, as that doesn't show up in the photos. Just annoying to see in the view finder. Looks like this east coast gal is going to have to get used to all the dust here in the desert and how it seeps into everything. Seriously considering keeping my raincoat (camera version) on the camera at all times. Very pleased with this little set, and glad I ordered it. And very happy to report that I am no longer afraid to mess around with the most important part of my expensive cameras. ... show more

This kit worked wonderfully. Just make sure you get the right size swab for your sensor size! Instructions were not included with the package, but they are pictured here in the product listing so it's not hard to find. My sensor was so shamefully grimy that I thought it needed professional help. As a last ditch effort, I tried this kit. It took a few of attempts and a healthy dose of patience, but now my camera is as pristine as when it was new and there's no more sensor dust in my pictures. I ended up using 3 wet swabs (2 sprays of cleaner on each) to soften and pick up dirt, and 2 dry swabs to wipe up excess liquid residue. The cleaning solution and tissue sheets are awesome for cleaning both camera lenses and my eyeglasses. I only wish this kit came with more swabs. I guess I'll need to find more swabs separately for future cleanings, but this kit was definitely worth it as is. ... show more

Honestly, I wish I had bought this years ago but have been too scared to clean my own camera sensor. This company includes a link to a YouTube video explaining how to do it which takes most of the worry out of it. The kit also includes various other high-quality product which adds up to this being an absolute bargain. I used this kit on a Canon EOS 5D Mk. II and it did an absolutely fantastic job, really pleased. Pros The kit is jam-packed with everything you will need to keep your body and glass in top shape The kit comes in a shell case that is ideal for traveling, just throw it in your camera bag and go The makers took the time to produce a YouTube video explaining how to use the product. Cons Really only thing I was a little disappointed with was the number of sensor swabs, it comes with just 6 which is about enough to do 2 or 3 sensor cleans. Though to be fair, you should not need to clean the sensor as often as the rest of the camera. The lack of abundant swabs isnt that huge a deal though not when the rest of the product is such high quality. ... show more

I mainly bought this to clean my 10 year old DSLR mirror, someone one time when I was changing lenses some liquid splattered on the mirrow and you could see it through the viewfinder, which drove me nuts. At first I tried cleaning it with alcohol and some swabs, that got rid of the majority of the problem but the mirror never seemed as shiny and bright as it was new. I strayed a bit from the Altura instructions, they recommend using one of their swabs with only a bit of their cleaning solution, I went on the heavy side with the cleaning solution and then used a second, dry swab to go over the mirror again to pick up any residue. Mirror looks like new again! I really like their swab design, easy to work with and totally lint free. Very happy with my purchase. ... show more

I watched a YouTube video for instructional purposes and coordinated it with the instructions for using the swabs. Spray the solution 1 to 2 times on to a freshly opened swab. Gently rest one side of the swab against the sensor and wipe in one direction one time. Then use the opposite side of the swab and wipe gently in the opposite direction of the first wipe. Discard swab. If you have moisture or need to wipe the sensor again, open a new swab, and repeat the process without the sensor solution. Worked excellent. I had accumulated large amounts of dust and a little moisture on my sensor. This kit effectively restored my Rebel T5's crisp image capabilities. I love the detailing brushes for gently removing dirt and dust from the body and lenses. The air blower is a lifesaver. And this kit comes with many cleaning cloths. I haven't experienced any residue from the cleaning pen, so far so good! ... show more

My sensor (on my Fuji x-t4) had gathered a number of dust spots I could no longer ignore. I settled on this kit and after meticulously reading the instructions, steeled my nerves and did two passes on the sensor. I erred on the side of a lighter touch as I’ve never done this and felt really nervous about somehow messing it up.
