Just now tested this power cord on my Escort MAX 360 MKII and it works great. Another reviewer claimed that the USB C connector worked in only one orientation, which honestly didn't sound right to me for more than one reason. Anyway, as expected, the connector works in both orientations. I don't know why the other reviewer had troubles, but it's not a problem in general. Also, the RJ11 connector looks pretty solid to me. Of course, I didn't want to risk stressing it too much, but it by no means appears flimsy. I much prefer this power cord over the cigarette lighter jack version because that cigarette lighter plug takes up too much room. I already need that power source to charge my phone, so stacking the phone's USB connector on top of the cigarette lighter plug was a bit much. Basically the same is true for my motorcycle if I choose to use it on that machine. Using a low profile cigarette light jack to USB converter to plug in a couple of devices with USB connectors is more space efficient and therefore better solution. ... show more

We are in a rental that does not have a cigarette lighter so we were in a pinch since my husband NEEDS his radar detector. Found this bad boy, it came quickly and it works amazingly! Easy to install/use, looks good, was a good value and I love that I can get different lengths, I ordered a little long because you never know when you need it.     • USB-C ONLY WORKS ONE WAY. YOU CANT PLUG IT IN OPPOSITE SIDES.

The USB-C low profile L-Shaped Design is only pinned on one side. This makes it look tacky and leaves an extra 1-2 inches of wire that cannot be used if you’re running the wire along the passenger side of the vehicle (cable must be looped under or over the opposite direction of the cord). I didn’t think it was possible to have a USB-C connection, not pinned on all around, but for some reason it only works when plugged in a certain direction. As for the cable itself, it powers the radar detector perfectly (when plugged in properly). So far I haven’t had any issues with the power output. The thickness of the cable and how it’s shipped is “OKAY” and easy to manipulate if you want to straighten it and run it discreetly so it’s not visible.
