    • Best brake line deal our there
Blew out a rear brake line in my 02 Chevy Suburban. Ordered this Dorman stainless brake line kit as it's price was super cheap for all the lines. You will need to take off sever items to get the real line in from the center mounted brake block on the frame right under the center left side of the inner frame. You will also need to jack up the frame from the body to get this rear line in but after a little bending it fits pretty good. You will also need several line type wrenches to get the lines loose and the new fittings in. Removal of the spare tire is necessary as you will need to reach above that area to get the line started at the rear junction fitting. If you have a Suburban then you will need to install the 2nd rear line also, make sure you mark the old ones as there is a RH and a LH side, don't mix them up or you will have to do the job over again. Replacing these lines is not a rookie job, I was a GM master tech for 20 years and replacing these lines is a lot of work. Bleeding went pretty smooth. ... show more

These are very good quality brake lines. Worth the savings over other brands. These are solid stainless steel lines. The bends are fairly accurate, maybe not perfect but close enough. I needed to start with the longest run, front RH wheel on my 02 Suburban 1500. When I saw how long this line was I was like oh no it will never go in but with some patience it did. Most need to be installed from underneath the vehicle just take your time and it will work out. They are very hard to bend, except for where the shipping bends a re. They are extremely solid but can be flexed enough to attach to the brake fittings. I am satisfied with the purchase. ... show more

Excellent kit. Used on a 2002 Avalanche. Perfect match to the original lines. Make sure that the line goes straight into the ABS module so you can finger tighten the nut all the way in, take your time on this point. The lines are stainless steel, if the line is not straight going into the fitting and you use the nut to pull it in, it will leak. All lines included, including the rear axle lines. No instructions are provided, recommend using the instructions for the GM brake pipe kit (found on internet) it provides excellent guidance for sequence of removal and installation of lines. If you want the install to look factory you need to make sure to take lots of "before" pictures to reference the line routing into the ABS module. Nice product, took 3 days to complete including jacking, inner wheel wells removal and lots of breaks. Install could be done in one intense day if all goes perfect. I did not need to raise body off of frame, or remove gas tank. However, you will need an extra set of hands to help fish the lines into place. I use silicone caps protect the line ends as I fished them into place and silicone plugs for the master cylinder and ABS module to prevent draining and contamination. ... show more

The hardest one to install was the passenger caliper to the master cylinder. Just be patient and bend carefully. Good quality. Will outlast the car!

These kits are a great replacement for the original lines. Easy to bend the lines into shape at the required spots. Stainless lines are a great upgrade. Install is as easy as the O.E. Kits which requires some knowledge but still manageable. For the price savings and stainless over or steel lines these are a great choice. ... show more
