This is the 3rd tapestry I purchased at size 30 x 40 inch rectangle. Definitely much closer to a, quare. It's pretty, but I noticed the size was off right away, and then I had to washthe awful strong dye smell. I'm a collector of these going back to the 90s. I miss the good old days when tapestries smelled like nothing but some lovely nag champa. I think those days are long done. I bought this as a backup for a window that normally fits a 30 x 40 perfectly. I had to change plans and put it on a door. It still looks a bit off as a square, but I think it still looks pretty and adds to my room. I wouldn't but it again because of the sizing, but the colors are true to the photo and very vibrant. Unlike others where the dye came out SO much that I was so grateful I didn't put that stuff through my machine to get all up in it, this did not run at all or lose its vibrancy. Smell did come out after one wash with just a bit of soapy water. Hand dry. If you don't like a slight bit of crinkly texture or folds then you may want to steam iron on low setting. ... show more

I got this tapestry because I decided it was time for a new look and feel in my room. I’ve always loved tapestries and this one fit perfectly with my theme I have going (white and gold). The size fits perfectly on my wall and it looks even better that I added some greenery around the edges to give it that extra umph that it needed. The cloth is rough and thin, and if used for a bed cover, you would like it to be a bit softer. The design is pretty but the colors are faint. I have purchased several of these from different vendors and there is a huge difference in quality. Pay a bit more and get a good one. Most of them wash and dry very well. I use them for summer throws and bedspreads. To cover a twin bed, get a full size one if you want it to go down the sides. Measurements differ between different vendors. Always check the inches of available covers. I can't imagine hanging then on a wall. That is SO 70s!! I do love the subtle designs and colors. ... show more
