Nicely made and good price. To mount, I found that you need to extend the latch to the maximum and mount so that the latch just fits over the hook part. Otherwise, it will not close tightly enough

I’ve been a woodworker most life so I have extensive experience with a multitude of hardware. I grew up in Hawaii so rice is a staple in 99% of the meals I eat. I have a custom built drawer in my kitchen that holds 100lbs of rice. There is a sealed lid over the drawer with a hinged door to allow access to the rice but to keep those pesky moths from turning the rice drawer into their summer breeding grounds. I needed something to keep that door tightly sealed, but easily opened daily or multiple times daily. After much research, I picked these latches, and they work perfectly.
