    • Broke after 3 months of minimal light use

Before it broke I would have given it 3 stars, because the valve was not great (leaky if you dont cinch it tight, and then hard on the gasket if you make it tight, and the hole is too small to drain well for a flask of this size). I only used it about once or twice per week for a few minutes at a time to separate water from my freeze dryer vacuum pump. So it wasn't seeing a lot of use. And nothing strenuous. Just some light swirling in a circle. Then one day I noticed a crack near the valve, and I knew it's life was coming to an end. Within a week or two after seeing the crack it suddenly split apart as I turned the stopcock. Fortunately, I had it over a bucket just in case, but it still made a small mess. Should have gotten a better one to begin with. I used to work in a chemistry lab, and I've never seen glassware of such low quality. Now I'm going to buy one that costs about twice as much, but that's apparently what it takes to get something of decent quality. ... show more

    • Cheap glass, broke after 1 use!

I had initially given this s good review, however after 1 use it broke during cleaning! It is poorly made. Yours will likely break above the stopcock, as it is poorly blown and the glass narrows at that point. Stay away, spend a little more on thicker glass or get used pyrex, chemglass, kimax, ace, vwr, etc if on budget! ... show more

The stopcock is PTFE but the plastic stopper (in the 24/29 joint) on the top is NOT PTFE. The stopper is translucent with a density less than one gram/cc; most likely polypropylene. You'll need to buy a separate glass stopper if you intend to do liquid-liquid extractions with chlorinated hydrocarbons. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I dislike the fact that I paid for for what I thought was brand new obviously been used ! I should get a discount for are used items especially if it has Mark cracks or scratches in it !!!

When I opened the box, I was pleased with how well it was packed to keep contents from shifting, and appreciated the styrofoam casing. Unfortunately, there are just issues with the base product. This crack and bubble in the glass weren’t from transport, it’s just how it was made. Returning and getting a different brand. I’m confident in their packaging and transporting abilities, but not in the quality of their product. ... show more
