I got the game yesterday and played today for the first time. It’s very challenging and it takes a bit to get the hang of it, specially adding the diagonal points, but it made for a wonderfully spent afternoon. The tile holders are cardboard and may not last long but who cares, enjoy them while they last or get yourself the proper wooden holders. My husband and I love playing board games and it can get boring playing the same ones over and over again. I looked up games an ran across Qwirkle Flex and I was not disappointed. It’s a good quality game with the tiles being made of wood. It did not take us long to learn the jest of it and is a good strategy game without to much difficulty. It is lightweight, so would be great to take on road trips when traveling. I highly recommend! ... show more

If you like the original Qwirkle but want even more challenge, then this is the one for you. Not only to you score orthogonally but now you can score diagonally as well! This one is definitely a thinker. Nice quality wooden pieces.

Love the game. Love the new 'flex' addition. Those two aspects get 5 stars. However, the little racks for the tiles are shocking - insultingly flimsy, meant solely to save manufacturing costs.
