I purchased a total of 6 bundles of the QVR Afro Kinky Bulk Hair in the auburn color, and I’m genuinely pleased with my initial experience. First, shipping was excellent—Amazon delivered the hair the very next day, which is always a win when you’re on a timeline. When I opened the bundles, I immediately noticed there was no foul or chemical smell, which is very important to me. The hair felt soft right out of the package, and after measuring, it was true to length, which isn’t always the case with bulk hair. The auburn color is rich and consistent across the bundles, and the texture is giving exactly what it’s supposed to give for a natural look. I’ll be using this hair to install braided micro locs, so I haven’t completed the install just yet—but based on first impressions, this is a solid buy. I will be coming back to update my review with photos: * Hair fresh out of the package (before washing or wetting) * Final installed look So far, I’m very satisfied with the quality and would definitely recommend. Update Review: I’ve now had the QVR Afro Kinky Bulk Hair installed for a full week in my braided micro locs, and I wanted to come back with an honest update. Overall, I’m still very pleased with this purchase. The hair has remained soft, lightweight, and easy to manage. One of the biggest positives for me is that my scalp has not been irritated like it normally is with some synthetic hair, which was a huge relief. When the hair is wet and properly moisturized, the curl pattern is beautiful. It gives a very natural look—soft, fluffy, and full without feeling heavy. That was important for me because I wanted my micro locs to look natural and not overly bulky. I did notice that some bundles had a few shorter pieces mixed in, so I had to finesse certain sections during installation. However, I found that when the hair was slightly damp, the strands stretched more and showed their true length much better, which made installation easier. That small issue wasn’t enough to take away from the overall quality for me. If I ever decide to change anything with my micro locs or do another install, I would absolutely order this hair again. Still a solid purchase and I would definitely recommend it.

Finished product was gorgeous. Overall, the hair was soft, did have a little odor. What I didn’t like about the hair was how it came scattered. What I mean by that is we had to wet it pull the pieces and lay them on top of each other for it to all be the same length. With water, mousse and leave in conditioner, the curl was pretty, very similar to 4B hair texture.

The hair is not true to length. I purchased the 18” and it was 12” stretched at best. The majority of the hair ended up on the salon floor. My braider had to work miracles to pull the hair and had to piece together and feed in hair to get to the length. It was coming apart in clumps. The hair was soft but seemed to be made up of odds and ends. The shedding is excessive. I ended up having to go to a local beauty supply store to find purchase additional hair to get through the style.

I used this QVR hair for mini twists, and it worked really well ☺️ so soft, lightweight, and easy to install. The length and size were exactly what I expected, and the hair had no strong smell, which I appreciated. For the price, it’s good value for money, and the texture is nice enough that I even considered it for my starter locs. Overall, a solid choice!

So i bought this hair to do micro locs extensions! The quality of it is very soft and easy to manage and braid with, however the length is not true to form. I ordered 14 inches to just add a little length to my already nice length hair. It was so much waste. I used all 3 bags but out of the 3 bags a whole bag was mainly wasted hair bc the length was no true to form completely. It was some 14 inches and then you had some very very short pieces that could not be used or had to combine multiple together to make 14 inches. Length quality could be better. Would i order again probably not especially with it being QVR brand which was recommended. The color was true to color match to my hair for the extensions. I have a smaller head so the 3 packs worked but for someone with a bigger head you’ll definitely need 6.

This hair is a good quality product. It’s soft and very manageable. Highly recommended!!! I ordered one pack which had 4 individual packs inside. I suggest getting to packs because it wasn’t enough to finish my entire head.

UPDATE: (pictures with emoji) Almost a year late and the hair is holding up. It is locing well with my real hair. Only negative is that the hair does shed…a lot. But I’m locked in…literally…so there’s no going back now. I’m just mindful of when and where I touch my hair. Once my natural hair get to a length that I like, I will cut the extensions out. I was nervous to try this hair bc of the mixed reviews online apart from influencers. But I’m happy to say that the hair did not disappoint. I purchased the 20 inch. There were small pieces but I was able to blend it with minimal hair waste. I find it’s easier to manage when it’s slightly damp. It’s soft, doesn’t tangle and has a nice wave pattern when wet. Definitely need some product/oil to keep it from looking dry.
