I love the color, an unusual sage green with that hint of blue that sage has. The pocket are indeed very deep, easily accommodating my pillow-top mattress and a thick mattress topper. Here are the thinks I don't mind but others may not like: * The finish is geared for ultra cost saving. All of the edges have a narrow, about 1/4 inch, hem, even at the top where every other sheet I've seen in my long life has a wide, often decorative finish. *The fabric wrinkles like crazy, like linen does. Not really rough exactly, but more like inexpensive muslin than the usual smooth fabric for sheets *The pillow cases are the European kind with a pocket on the open end for the pillow to slip into on one side. The pocket is so shallow that the pillow slips out and the whole thing bunches up. *The price is high for the quality of material and workmanship. All that said, I really like the color. My last set of sheets was linen (these are not), so I am used to the wrinkles and texture. I don't mind it as much as I think most people would.

I bought these sheets after searching for all cotton sheets with good reviews. I'm not sure if the reviewers ever slept on all cotton sheets before of decent quality, but these sheets are not decent quality. I washed them according to the instructions. I put them on my bed (queen size) and slept on them that night. They are not smooth. They are scratchy and quite uncomfortable. So much so that I kept waking up. I used them for a few days then washed them again, hoping they would get softer. Maybe they did, about one percent softer. The sheets are also thin, and I doubt they will last long. I've purchased better all cotton sheets when Kohl's has its sales, and for a lot less money. I do not recommend these sheets. Wait for Kohl's to have a sale and buy them there.

These are nice thick sheets. My biggest issue is I expected them to be soft and they are not at all. Even after a couple washes I still them to be pretty stiff. I will keep them because I like the color but I don't necessarily think they're worth the price. Color was true to the picture but they are not soft like I would want in a sheets set.
