As described. Should be fun to put around the kitchen cabinets They are slight on the thin side so unless you plan to put them in picture frames, keep that in mind so you don't Mar your walls by pushing your pins in too deeply. Now, I have two in the house on the wall next to my bedroom and my son' and we use the like most use a white board but it's for that field trip slip he forgot to give me, or the need for lunch $, me asking if he needs X from the store and he isn't home... That way way I can sign and pin it back on his or a 10 dollar bill or he can answer my question and pin it on mine. The fridge doesn't get as crowded with important lost papers underneath one another and it's pretty difficult to NOT see something new on the board as you walk into your own bedroom The other two, I white glues together and made coasters out of them adding decorative, flat push pins pressed randmly in each one. It serve an eye catching purpose as what they are for and, because there are push pins in them, the glass, bottle doesn't stick to the coaster ( like aLOT do) the coaster stays on the table instead of falling into your guest's lap. Yes, they work awesome as a bulletin board to place anywhere you need one ( or four near one another per person or topic, but because of their size? I used these cork boards for school. I used thumb tacks to hold my items on and never had a problem with them going through to the wall. They were actually pretty sturdy for how thin they are. The self adhesive also held up well. They lasted the year before I took them down and would have last longer if it wasn’t for us moving. Although I did have a little problem with the boards breaking when I took them down I was only able to save two of them and the adhesive was a hassle as it stuck to the wall and was not easy to remove. Very easy to use. Push the pins in and go. Comes with adhesive stickers to attach to wall. Had a slightly weird smell at first but went away quickly. Color is your basic cork color. Appearance once complete is great. Durability seems a little flimsy but once attacked to wall it’s solid. The only thing I had an issue with is the fit of the pins on the cork. It’s pretty thin so the backs of pins poke through and touch the walls. Liked them with thicker felt and it’s solid. ... show more

    • Inexpensive, versatile solution!

These are such a cheap and simple solution to an area where I am frequently rotating reference sheets, contact lists, and such (the back wall of my office desk). I was damaging the finish by taping and retaping every time I updated and changed out these sheets. So I was seeking a more permanent solution. Now this area is covered by two cork tiles, and I can replace and rearrange the sheets as often as I wish. I had to cut one of the tiles to fit the area, and it very easily cut with a scissors. My only regret is that I didn't think of this sooner. Note - if you are looking for thick bulletin board, you may want to keep looking. This is pretty thin. In fact, you have to stick the push pins in at an angle if you don't want to poke through the wall behind the board. Or I've read of people doubling up the tiles to have a thicker material in which to place the tacks. I may try that if I get tired of angling the push pins just so. But regardless, for five bucks, it was a solid purchase! ... show more

I have to admit, I'm pretty entertained by these cork tiles. The previously mentioned tile that I hung crooked and tried to remove, has been successfully removed. Successful for the wall (no damage) not so much for the tile, which broke into pieces. I vacuumed up the smaller bits, threw away a few more, was about to ditch the whole thing when I decided to take advantage of an opportunity to be creative (See Silly Photo). Don't know where I'll end up with these. I'd love to order more but they really are very poor quality. I am sitting here reading a lot of contradictory review of these tiles--how thick/thin they are, whether they will or won't peel the paint and damage the wall, whether they will even stick at all. Mine arrived today, and were surprisingly easy to put up. I can't say whether they'll fall off in a few days, but a very few minutes after I put one up, with the four little sticky squares, I saw it was slightly crooked. I couldn't budge it. In fact, the tile crumbled at the corner where I tried, which brings up the second issue. I was very surprised at how thin and floppy these are. As for exact thickness, I haven't measured, but the description on the product page says they are 12x12x1.56". They not only aren't anywhere near that measurement but they are some very small fraction of an inch. I was planning to order four more but I believe I'll wait a while to see what happens. ... show more

    • Great Dartboard surround

I got these to use as a protective area around my dartboard, (3 across and 3 down with the board mounted centrally).They don't stop the darts from hitting the drywall behind them but they mask the holes nicely as they don't show those holes themselves. As I'm not intending to take my dartboard down anytime soon then I'm OK with worrying about filling the holes when I eventually do. Little bit of spackle and paint and Bob's your uncle. Now I did note that several reviewers say that it's really, REALLY hard to get the backing paper off the double sided adhesive tabs that are supplied to fix the tiles to the wall and they're not wrong. It IS hard,...... but I found a solution. Taking one side of the backing paper off, while the tab is still in your fingers is not too bad to do, but then after you have stuck that to the tile taking the 2nd backing paper off is a nightmare. I just used the tip of a sharp knife to slightly poke into the paper and I just lifted the paper off . While I was trying to get the edge to peel it off with my fingers and nails I was suffering the same grief as everyone else. As soon as I started to use the sharp tip of a knife I was flying and it wasn't an issue. Do make sure that you wipe the surface of the tiles down with a slightly damp cloth though to remove the cork dust from the surface or the tabs will not adhere properly and could allow the tiles to come away from the wall. ... show more

The refrigerator magnets and piles of papers made the corner of my kitchen look cluttered. These cork wall tiles helped to turn things around! Now we can find invitations, business cards, and memos easily and it looks so much more organized. The only downside is that the 2 sided mounting squares don’t allow the tiles to lay flush on the wall. ... show more
