Easy to set up and install, works fine for most of my needs. However, I have a similar product by a different brand that is more sturdy. The shelves will hold a heavy load but you can see slight bending of the metal.

As some other reviewers pointed out, these shelves look like other similar wire shelving units. But, these shelves have the wires spaced further apart and not as thick as the wires on competing shelves. Competing shelves also often have a reinforcement bar in the middle and these do not. On the other hand, these are sturdy enough for many purposes. And this was less expensive than competing products. So, it is a case of getting what you pay for. If this is strong enough for you, it is probably going to be less than a competing product. If this is not sufficient for your needs, get something else but you will probably pay more. These shelves are strong- the assembly method has become common- little wedges in each corner- I kept the shelves level by counting how many "rings " there were in between- They are in the garage, and the floor slants towards the door for drainage- these have screw adjusters to level them. I didn't test the claimed weight capacity, but I have tools, reams of pper and stuff like that which are very heavy with no problem. I did have a problem with one shelf having come dented- I called the number on the booklet, and they quickly sent a replacement. ... show more

Quantum or Amazon keeps rearranging how these are ordered. I'd bought several different dimensions of the '800 lb' version, thought this was just a different size. 300 lb is version is cheaper, but I'm replacing plastic shelves that sag - last thing I need is a replacement that sags. Mostly my fault for not paying attention to the differences - but the link/page I bought from the last time is no longer active. I'll keep it and cross my fingers, not worth shipping issues to return and get the other one. HA! I've got some boxes full of CD's to store that are heavy, and a leftover "800 lb" shelf of the same size. Put it at the bottom, and I'm all set. Shown: Silver shelf is "300 lb" version, Black shelf is "800 lb" version. (Colors are incidental.) OTOH, if you don't need to store heavy stuff, this weighs less, so is easier to move around, assemble, etc. Upgrading from 3 to 4 star - quality is good, it's just a question of price/weight/solidity. ... show more
