I received the PELEGON Quad Cane (300 lb) - Adjustable Walking Cane with A Large 4 Pronged Base for Extra Balance & Stability, Walking Canes for Seniors, Walking Cane for Men & Women, Walking Sticks (Black). WOW! What an extremely nice, heavy-Duty, Quad Cane this one is! I need to use a Cane every day. Around my home, I prefer to use a Quad Cane for better stability and also because Quad Canes stand on their own. That makes this type of Cane very useful when I'm doing household chores and need to stand with both hands free, but need my cane to be ready and right by my side. THE GOOD: - Packaged nicely. - Pretty easy to assemble. Just follow the directions to get the base to suit you for left or right-hand use. - Attractive and simple Black Finish. - Heavy Duty!- Strong and NOT wobbly at all, even for a larger, taller, 275 lbs. person! - The ability to adjust the handle height AND rotate the shaft on the base for left or right hand use. - A wrist leash is also included. THE BAD: - Can be a bit on the heavy weighted side if you are using this Cane to walk around a lot. - The bottom adjuster knob for left or right-hand use can catch on your clothing, and that is NOT good! For the most part, I really love this PELEGON Quad Cane! About the only thing I do not like is that it is very easy to catch your clothing on that bottom knob. So just be aware of this and be very careful! I am very happy with this Quad Cane and I think it is the nicest, heavy-duty one that I have tried. ... show more

Having tried several different cane styles, I have learned that different situations call for different styles of canes. Of course, personal preference plays a part too. There are times when I feel stronger and am able to get by without using a cane at all. Sometimes I need just a little help with balance so all I need is a simple walking stick to steady me. There are other times when I need all the help I can get just to walk safely when doing daily activities. This quad cane is my new go to on those painful & difficult days. At first I thought the 4 feet might get in my way, but since this cane is easily adjustable to use in the left or right hand, the feet don’t stick out too far at all as long as I have it adjusted properly. You just have to loosen the round ring near the bottom and turn the handle bit so that the 2 feet closest to your legs are also closer to the vertical cane cylinder, which makes the other 2 feet that stick out further to the outside. In other words, if the cane is in your right hand, the 2 legs that are farthest to the right are facing away from your right leg. This keeps the 2 inside legs from getting in your way while walking. Once the handle is properly orientated, just tighten the ring back and you are all set. The quad design makes it much easier to balance, whether on a smooth surface, or on uneven ground. The feet have really grippy rubber tips that grab the walking surface effectively so you don’t slip. An added bonus is that the quad design stands up by itself so you aren’t constantly knocking it over or dropping it when you are stationary. It is really lightweight, too, so it doesn’t fatigue you easily. The height is adjustable from 29.5” to 38.5” so I can let it down easily to a comfortable height for my 5 foot frame. This cane makes me feel really secure and steady when walking with it. ... show more

I was very impressed by this cane and the thought that went into it. This should last for a very long time. It comes in multiple pieces that you have to assemble and it is designed so that there are no loose points where the pieces meet. The 2 connection points on the post for this are reinforced to secure their stability. All the metal is thick and strong enough so that there is no give in this. This does make it a bit heavy, but the ground should be bearing most of that weight. The base has some heft to it, so it should have no issues standing on its own. It's not going to get blown over by a strong wind or someone tapping it. The post is also off to the side on the base so you can get it close to your foot. The user's manual that comes with this is also large and easy to read. What a nice change from all these product manuals that I have to put under a magnifying lens to be able to read. You don't really need a manual to put this together, but in case you are not sure of something, it is there. It also tells you how to adjust to the correct height for you, as well as which hand to use it with (relative to which foot has the issue).
