  • Powerful Hi-fi Speakers Bookshelf Set: Immerse yourself in music with 3030i bookshelf speakers. A bigger cabinet creates larger scale surround sound, the low 46Hz response gives punchy, controlled bass, and a 0.9" decoupled high frequency driver with wide surround provides wide even dispersion of stereo image.
  • Low Profile Terminals: Designed with recessed cut-outs to reduce cabinet noise, and featuring low profile binding posts with sockets deep enough for 0.16" banana plugs, you can shelf mount or stand mount these stereo speakers near a rear wall.
  • P2P Bracing: With internal bracing placed with computer aid, the structural integrity of the bookshelf speakers' enclosures is greatly improved. This helps keep the enclosure extra quiet, enhancing the focus of the stereo image and giving the soundstage more accuracy.
  • Passive Speakers Specifications: Enclosure Type: 2-way Reflex, Bass Driver: 6.5", Tweeter: 0.9", Frequency Response: (+3 dB, -6 dB) 46Hz 30kHz, Nominal Impedance: 6 Ohms, Minimum Impedance: 4 Ohms, Sensitivity: (2.83 V@1 m) 88dB, Cross-over Frequency: 2.4kHz, Stereo Amplifier Power: 25 - 75 W, AV Receiver Power (2 ch. driven): 50 - 145 W
  • Whats Included: 2 x 3030i bookshelf speakers (W7.9 x D13 x H12.8 inch, weight 14.1lbs), 2 x foam bungs, 2 x magnetic speaker grilles, 1 x user manual.

Description

Read more 3030i shelf speaker is the latest addition to the Q Acoustics 3000i range. It’s designed to deliver the biggest, most commanding sound ever achieved by a speaker of this type and cost. Featuring a 165mm mid/bass driver developed from the powerful Q Acoustics 3050i floorstand speaker, along with an optimized motor. Q Acoustics 3030i speaker has bass extension and control superior to that of any nominal rival. Factor in the same tweeter and mounting as used in the 3050i floorstander, and 3030i redefines the scale and fidelity available from such a competitively costed stand mount speaker. Shelf or stand mount the 3030i speakers, whichever works with your current setup and designImpressive sound and aesthetic enhancements for improved overall performance and designWe've increased the cabinet size (taller and deeper than 3020i model) for a larger scale sound and deeper bassOur 3030i speakers utilize Point-to-Point (P2P) bracing techniques that give extraordinary rigidity and virtually eliminates distortionCapable of astonishingly low 46Hz bass response despite excellent 88dB sensitivity The evolution of the driver technology in the 3050i floorstander results in seismic bass extension, smooth attack in the treble and a detailed, eloquent midrange. Softly elegant lines and exceptional build quality ensure 3030i looks as good as it sounds, in any of its four finishes. The bespoke stand provides both perfect stability and perfect positioning. These are a few of the things that make 3030i one of the best pound-for-pound speakers Q Acoustics has ever built. As with the rest of the 3000i range, the 3030i features magnetic grilles and an attractive chrome finish around each driver. Not only does the entire 3000i range feature all-new cabinet aesthetics but it also offers four contemporary finishes: Graphite Grey, White, English Walnut or Carbon Black. Increased volume has enabled to gain an extended low frequency response from the ported design. The enlarged dimension means that any cone- generated noise reflected from the enclosure back and out through the cone itself is reduced. Because it’s capable of such low-frequency presence, the 25mm tweeter above is decoupled - so it’s isolated from the vibrations of the mid/bass driver. Read more The Q 3030i boasts P2P (Point to Point) bracing which supports the parts of the enclosure that need to be stiffened making the new enclosures exceptionally rigid, improving the focus of the stereo image and giving the soundstage more accuracy than ever before ( entire series ). Left image shows a cabinet without bracing, Right image shows a cabinet with P2P bracing. Q Acoustics’ determination to extract unprecedented power and scale from a discreet, affordable standmounting speaker results in 3030i. Conventional terminal panel cut-outs have been removed, giving greatly improved structural integrity to the enclosures and new low profile binding posts have been incorporated with sockets deep enough to accept 4mm (0.16 in) Banana Plugs. The speaker can be positioned very close to a rear wall even when banana plugs rather than spades or bare wires are used. Designed and specified without compromise, from the point-to-point bracing of its cabinet to the stability of its custom stand, 3030i is a speaker that’s even greater than the sum of its already-impressive parts. We also thought that you might want to mount your shelf speakers and turn them into floorstanding speakers. We designed a special pair of 3030i floor stands to enhance the performance of your speakers and reduce the vibration. You can choose from black or white finishes. • Punches above their price grade
Color: Grey
I bought these after reading a bunch of reviews. My expectations weren't too high and I was not looking at top of the line kind of stuff. I was pleasantly surprised. First off these do need some break-in. Out of the box and paired with a Sonos amp they seemed a little bright, though bass was excellent. Midrange was okay. I did play with the base and treble a bit. However, as I kept using it for the next 7 days the sound mellowed/warmed and I actually increased treble as brightness toned down. Eventually, I am super pleased with the purchase. I am using these with the Amp in combo with a Sonos Arc surround system in a single group and tonally they are in perfect balance with the rest of the Sonos speakers. Both movies and music sound awesome and detailed with this combo setup. Movie vocals are clear, especially with the Dolby Atmos movies where conversation can be too low. The speakers render a wide and detailed Soundstage missing with just a soundbar. The soundbar adds body to the sound. If I am nitpicking, I'd say that the upper midrange has a slight gap(which the Sonos Arc actually fills in for me). Finally the speakers look good in my living room without the grilles and my wife appreciates them as well! ... show more

  • Best bang for the buck I've found
Color: English Walnut
I held off writing a review until I had plenty of time to let these burn in. After 30 hours, I can confidently say that these are the best 'bookshelf' speakers out there for the money. My main setup is a McIntosh 225 with a PS Audio preamp, Thorens TD215 and AT cartridge. I have a Philips CD80 for discs and also have the ability to stream via bluetooth. My regular speakers are Dahlquist DQ10s with a Jamo powered sub. I was looking for a small alternative for another room, so I disconnected the sub, and listened to these by themselves. Wow. Great imaging and sound staging. Transparent highs and mids and surprisingly good bass response for such a small speaker. I threw a wide variety of source material at them. Tori Amos, Yo Yo Ma, Andrea Bocelli, all sounded amazing. Moved on to Florence +the Machine, William Elliott Whitmore, Dire Straits even some One Republic. Over the course of all the testing, I only found them to be lacking in super deep bottom end. A sub would help out in the <60hz but so little of my music requires it. In summary, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Great speakers, great value, and very attractive cabinets. ... show more

  • Ok but at the price there are many other better options
Color: Arctic White
Well after watching a few reviews on YouTube and lots of positive comments specifically from a well respected youtube audiophile I decided to give them a shot. I plugged them in to my stereo amp and thought. Hmm these sound familiar. Right away I noticed they sound like my Polk RTI a3 which can be had for around $239 a pair right now. I also have a pair of Fluance signature speakers roughly $249 a pair which sound better then these but lack bass. However these are no match for the Emotiva B1+ Speakers $229 a pair. The bass is better on the 3030i but the clarity of the emotiva is beyond these. Highs sound ok but sound fatiguing after about 45 minutes for me. They weren’t very detailed but weren’t bad. Just ok again at this price they’re ok. Mids. Well they sounded a bit muddy really. Voice seemed to make MMMmmm noise a lot and the mids overall overpowered the highs. Bass is actually impressive really. For basic listening you don’t need a subwoofer. Of course I tested this with 4 different setups and a turntable. The onkyo receiver was extremely hot so being 6ohm speakers they require a decent amp. The emotiva amp I have is 100 watts per channel class A amp. It drive them perfectly but the sound was still the same as the onkyo. The Harmon Kardon receiver also struggled to power these properly. Overall I wanted to love these speakers as soon as I unboxed them with high hopes for this price point and style. After a day I boxed them and shipped them right back. They might sound good to some people and I’m sure they do but for my ears I need something much more refined and clean sounding. If I could compare this sound to another speaker on the marked I would definitely say the Polk monitor series 2 line. Specifically the Polk Monitor 60ii. ... show more

  • Great bookshelf speakers
Color: Arctic White
The speakers are exciting and punchy. I have them hooked up to a Aiyima T10 preamp and A08 amp in my bedroom alcove. The base was overwhelming in the 15'x15' room so it needed to turn it down. The highs are nice and mids are okay compared to the 3020. Overall, very happy with the speakers. I should have purchased them when they were $500. ... show more

Color: Carbon Black
I had the sscs5 but i thought it lacked bass, although its mids and highs were insanely good for the price. I got these. Retained all positives of sscs5, all the clarity and the airiness but made them even better. The bass then is just amazing.

  • very clean and clear sounding speakers
Color: English Walnut
They sounded great in my 10' x 10' listening room. Did not have to add a subwoofer but if you already have one they do sound amazing. I don't have anything negative to say about these q acoustics at all.
