I'm glad I spent the extra money to get these speakers. I got a Stereo Tube amp for Christmas and I really wanted to do justice to the "supposed" fidelity improvement. Glad I did, I couldn't be happier with the sound I'm getting now. The speakers also look lovely.

Just got the Q 3010i with 4 in main spks.... I have no way to actually measure but they seem very inefficient - to match Polk Ai in vol, the indicater on my 100 w. ch receiver goes from 38 to 54 . sound wise they seem laid back, reserved. watching a DVD ( Sarah McLachlan, said to be very well recorded) when a drummer hits a cymbal I want to hear it. barely. Of course Sarah sounds pristine, but no better than with my 1978 Koss 1020 ( $300. back then) - what's the point of relatively inexpensive ( said to be near top sound quality above the low bass) speakers that need a strong amp ? ... show more

Sounds good, but you will want a subwoofer to get the most out of them. I had ordered the matching subwoofer, but it was dead on arrival. They were out of stock when I tried to reorder a replacement.
