  • Great looking ball with medium break
Color: Red/White/Blue Size: 14 LB
I used this ball in a practice game today and loved how it looked going down the lane. It breaks nicely, but not too hard, so easy for me to control. Because of the coloring you can really see how the ball is spinning when I release it properly.

  • Great item for the price!
Color: 1-Black/Silver Size: 13 LB
I just started a bowling league for winter a few months ago and decided to buy my first ball. I think this ball is a great beginners product! Looks great, has good functionality. I would buy it again. :)

Pre drill left hand medium OOB. Feels good. But it’s not giving me what I was hoping for, versus house ball on a medium oil lane.

Love this ball from pyramid and getting to learn the curve is fun. I average about 140.

  • Great ball for beginners
Color: Blue/Dark Blue Size: 16 LB
Let me preface this by saying if you want a "standard" hook that rips from left to right to pocket, you won't want to go here. That said, most of you *able* to bowl that way won't be looking here anyway. This is a great ball for people just starting out, or people who don't want a ton of hook but still maintain the weight and power that comes with a hooking ball. Plastic balls and house balls will bounce off pins and are great for spares and kids, but if you want to upgrade your game you're going to need something with force behind it -- thus hooking balls or balls with a weighted center. For me, I've never liked going from left to right to pocket, or the standard shot. It just feels boring to me and too reliant on oil conditions. If a lane is oily, you need to orient several whole arrows, often 20-30 boards. For this ball, you're going to want to be close to center. Not working? Go farther right. Too much hook? Farther left. But you're only really gonna work in that 5-15 board layout. I also enjoy this ball because it's a good versatile ball - as in you aren't locked out of picking up spares unless you perfect your wrist motion. For me, I sometimes give a bit of hook still for the 10 pin, but this won't curve enough to negate my shot unless I'm really not trying. I like that. All in all, this is a ball that does what I need it to do. Just make sure you know what you need it to do as well and you'll be happy. ... show more

  • Inconsistent. Not a good spare ball.
Color: 1-Black/Silver Size: 15 lb
My bowling background is of an intermediate level league player with a 140 average. I bought this ball a little over 2 months ago and have at least 40 games on it before leaving this review. Reviews of this ball said it was a great spare ball and perfect for beginner to intermediate players. The good is that this ball can deliver some powerful deck clearing strikes, it rolls smooth and hits strong. The bad is that the ball tends to drift especially towards the backend causing a lot of near misses in the pocket, on spares and on the corner 7 and 10 pins mostly end up in the gutter, also anything technical requiring a lot of accuracy will have to be compensated for cause the confidence is not there for me. I found the ball hard to control, it did not do what I wanted or needed it to do on the lane. I've noticed my scores and averages have dropped 20 points and think I will probably sell it and move on to get something else more mainstream. Final thoughts on what I should have done. If you're a beginner get a ball that shoots straight until you learn the basics, then use that as your spare ball then step up and pay a little extra for a pro or advanced performance ball to grow into rather than an entry level performance ball like the Path Rising that you will outgrow quickly. The price point is fair for what you get. As far as the shipper goes. The ball was not as nice as in the pictures, they charge you to return the ball and a restocking fee so be sure you know this before you order I would have rather seen the ball first and choosen something different, what you see online may not be what you may get. ... show more
