I had a pair of 40-watt, 8-ohm speakers (Realistic brand from Radio Shack, so these have been with me quite a while!) sitting around and I decided to put them to work in my basement shop. I wanted a simple bluetooth connection since I listen to my music collection, and podcasts, mostly from my iPhone. This fit the bill very well. When I turn the amp on, it automatically connects to my iphone as long as I don't have another bluetooth connection on. You can also connect another source via RCA connectors and switch easily between the sources. I chose the 240W version to give me enough power to turn up the volume without causing distortion, and why not, as the 240W was only $1 more than the 100W version. Plus, this unit is very small, so it can be easily placed and takes up minimal space. I am happy with this purchase. It's a good reason to go down to the shop, do something productive, and play some tunes at the same time. ... show more

The sound and controls are smooth without static issues. The lack of a 3.5mm input is a slight inconvenience. The bad is the bluetooth range which is very low and maybe reaches 10ft to my computer. Even at this range it is having issues controlling the volume and causing the balance issue another reviewer mentioned. The only resolution is to turn it off and back on to get it working correctly. I own a vintage Sansui amp and a pair of Sansui SP-Z7 speakers. I recently purchased a turntable and a phono preamp from Amazon. Since space is limited, I decided to try my PYLE PRO PCA1 2X15W mini amp. I was surprised that this little amp can drive these speakers with minimal distortion, and it's loud enough to fill my living room. this little amp is lacking tone controls, so I decided to upgrade. I came across several mini amps on Amazon, ranging from $69.00 to $100.00. Then, I came across this PYLE amp. It's the PYLE PDA22BT. It cost about $45.00 for a 100W per channel amp. After receiving the unit, setup was simple. Banana plug for the speakers are a plus. Connect power supply and RCA jack inputs and you're ready to go. The biggest surprise is the sound. At around 9 O'clock position on the volume control, the sound is loud and clear. For the size, power and cost, this little amp is worth every penny I spent. So, if you have vintage speakers, you should try this mini amp. I highly recommend it. The only thing I miss, are built in media port, say a thumb drive or sd card input and remote control. But for blutooth and line-in inputs, you can't go wrong. It came with a 24V power supply. The body is made out of aluminum and feels sturdy. ... show more

Worked OK first couple of uses. Then volume kept dropping down the longer the amp was on. Right channel dropped off and volume at max and barely any sound. Also hard to connect to Bluetooth. Practically have to turn all other Bluetooth devices off to get it to pair. Only used it a half dozen times since purchased. Filled out Plye support request for a exchange 3 days ago, still no response. You been warned. ... show more

Let me preface this by saying I really wanted this to work. I have this hooked up to a digital piano and some nice speakers to augment the piano's integrated speakers. I thought this would do the trick and it looks just like the Fosi model, which I also have. I figured since this is for my piano, which only gets used occasionally and I won't need to drive the speakers hard, this should do the trick. As a side bonus, since this has Bluetooth, I can occasionally stream some light jazz from my phone. This worked fine for a couple weeks at very light use. One day, while streaming some jazz from my phone, I found that the left channel would be much, much softer - almost muted - than the right channel after a few minutes of use. I tried contacting the seller in hopes of getting it exchanged since it happened right after Amazon's return window closed, but can't get a response after a couple months of trying to reach them - horrible, non-existent customer service. I discovered that this only happens when using the Bluetooth function, but it operates as it should when playing my digital piano. If you don't need Bluetooth, then this might work fine for you. Otherwise, stick with Fosi (which I use to drive my computer speakers at heavy usage) or a similarly respectable brand for the reliability and customer service. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I have recently began my journey into home audio by setting up a turn table with stereo speakers. Certainly a novice still but that gave me the courage to finally retro fit an old cabinet speaker to be Bluetooth compatible. I had no need to maintain the am/fm radio or turntable so this product offered the cheapest and best solution. Lots of vids I watched had custom boards etc, that seemed like fun and I was up to the task but would have been over kill for what I needed. So glad I took a chance and bought it! I did this little project with my kids over the weekend and now we have a cool home audio set up that works great with our projector and synced flawlessly to our Apple TV. I will say the volume controls on the Apple TV only work to turn the volume on to the strength of the physical knob on the receiver or mute. Nothing in between, but from my research that’s more a limitation of the Apple TV than the receiver. Definitely recommend this product and I could see plenty of use cases.
