  • Surprisingly effective
Style: PuroAir 240 (1 Pack)
I wasn’t expecting a ton out of this small air purifier, but so far it’s really been quite effective. Our large fluffy dog sleeps in our bedroom every night, and though we try to keep her clean, she’s still a dog after all and so she smells like a dog. I always felt like our room smelled like “dog” no matter how much I cleaned or vacuumed. Since putting this air purifier in the corner of the room closest to where she tends to lay down, I could swear the room has less of an odor than it did before. I hope it’s not confirmation bias (like I expected it to work so I think it does), but so far it sure seems to be actually helping. I’m really quite impressed. It’s a small unit and extremely quiet. I did put a little piece of black electrical tape over a couple of the buttons on top because they light up a bit too bright for me at night, but that’s just because any light at all bothers me, this may not bother other people. I have just left it on the auto setting and haven’t really even looked into what the other settings are because the auto setting seems to be working fine for now. All in all, it’s only been about a week or so, but I’m really quite happy with it so far. ... show more

  • Absolutely fantastic air purifiers
Style: PuroAir 240 (2 Pack)
These are so worth it. Air feels noticably fresher very quickly. Just one covers a good area, with a unit downstairs improving a mostly enclosed loft space above. Child lock function is super clutch so the unit is safe to leave on the floor, and overall look and design is clean and simple. Quiet operation. Filter is so easy to install. I totally recommend. ... show more

  • Excellent air purifiers.
Style: PuroAir 240 (2 Pack)
It's like these air purifiers were designed to my specifications. Exact size, color, functionality. Although, they don't seem very sensitive. After a week of running them, I was starting to wonder if they ever ramped-up to a higher speed than low. So, I lit up a cigarette and blew smoke right at them from 3 feet away. They ramped up to high, which proved they worked. Most of the time, they run on low and only seem to have an effective coverage of about a 3 foot radius (not for a large room - good placed on each side of a bed, for instance). It would be good if there was a sensitivity adjustment to increase. ... show more

  • Verdict is still out
Style: PuroAir 240 (1 Pack)
So, my life is on hold and I live in constant misery due to allergies this year. Nothing, and I mean nothing, is giving me much (if any) relief. This air purifier was one item in an arsenal of tools meant to ease my suffering. With that said, I still have no way to tell if this device removes particles from the ambient air in my home. It’s not hurting, but I really have no way to tell if it makes any significant difference in my home’s air quality. About the unit: Fairly whisper quiet. I keep mine on - continuously - on the 2nd setting. It makes a slight purr. Nothing that’s annoying or calls attention to the device. On this setting I hardly know it’s on, but it’s working at a medium speed. Second: I like the clean lines and look of this product. It’s unassuming on the table next to where I work each day. I had it on the floor initially but felt like being higher up and closer to me was a more prudent placement. Third: it’s been about 2 months of running continuously. I have only once opened it up and vacuumed the filter a bit. But that was my doing and not a prompt by the machine. The filter didn’t appear very dusty or dirty. We’ll see next time I check it. I don’t intend to change the actual filter unless and until the machine indicates that I do so. A well-made and beautifully designed product whose efficacy remains unclear. I’d say if you’re in the market to give it a try! ... show more

  • After Ten Months Still Doing the Job
Style: PuroAir 240 (1 Pack)
Usually you see buyers review a product in the first month or so, but I wanted to wait to see if this product was really as good as it appeared to be. So, our first impression was, it was so good it was hard to believe. We are in an old rental house and the air was terrible from the time we got here. We tried another air purifier and it never quite did the job. Within a day of this purifier running, the air was so much better that my son, who has breathing issues, was saying how much better he felt. But how is it after 10 months? I just changed the filter again--we are on our fourth filter now--so filters last around three months. My advice though, after some experience in challenging air, is to change the filter regularly (probably every two months in really bad conditions), and while you are doing that, do a damp wipe down of the outside and the inside (where the filter is) of the machine. The filters run a little less than 50 dollars, so its a bit like buying toner for ink jet printers--it will run you a but under $200 each year for filters. For us, it is very worth it, but the machine price is low compared to the filters. The only other thing is the noise of the machine. Although very quiet on the lowest setting, the medium setting will require you to get used to a bit of an ocean sound, and, for me, the high setting is just unbearable. In all, I would highly recommend this machine; it has done the job for months and months under very difficult conditions, and that is what I bought it for. ... show more

  • Works well, multi-function
Style: PuroAir 240 (1 Pack)
Works well, the air purifier has multiple functions. Runs quiet enough my pets aren't scared of it while running. Using this air purifier in a large room/open-concept living area.
