I love percale sheets and am beginning to believe that I will never find the smooth, permanent press percale sheets of my youth that used to be so widely available without spending an arm and a leg. That being said - we like those sheets well enough. They are very crisp and cool. While they will likely "soften" with washing as most cotton sheets do, these are not "smooth" and never will be. Definitely not the percale sheets of yesteryear that were cool, breathable, thick, smooth, and crisp. Seems the only percale sheets I can find that are like that cost A LOT more then they ever did in my youth, even adjusting for inflation. These are rough, but weirdly in a pleasant way. They wrinkle like crazy no matter how you dry them (line drying not possible in the city)!

I am picky about my bed sheets - I want 100% percale cotton, and I want the sheets to fit well and for the fitted mattress to stay in place. These sheets are all that, and I LOVE them. The elastic in the fitted sheet keep it in place on my mattress, even if I toss and turn a lot. I will be buying a second set of these sheets, and will be getting rid of all the not-quite-right ones I’ve bought over the years during my search for a great sheet set.

Queen size for $49.99. After wash and dry, fits 12” mattress nicely tight. The flat sheet is short a few inches from head to toe -deducted a star. Percale wears well and historically lasts about 14-16 months if used every day, washing once a week.

I love the old school percale cotton sheets. Crisp, comfortable, classic. These appear to be sturdy enough to last. You will probably want to iron the pillow cases, as they are real cotton, and without permanent press fabric. I'm sleeping comfortably.

They feel so comfy and I know they will only get better the more washed. These have been the only sheets I’ve found that are truly deep on the sides and fits my complete mattress. My only complaint is that the dark grey is not dark at all. It actually look like regular to light grey and the charcoal color in king is not available.
