  • SOMETHING IS NOW VERY WRONG WITH THIS
Style: Gravy Color: Beef Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 24)
My cat has eaten this (with vet supplied dry food) for 11 years. In last 3 months has been very sick, avoiding litter pan, not himself. Several vet visits, medications, tests, showed nothing. I never considered the food was the issue until I read multiple online threads about same issues. Dumped the FF, he is back to his normal self and I am out $1100.00, not to mention my poor guy was suffering for months. Two attempts to contact FF company have gone unanswered, they obviously know there’s an issue and refuse to admit it****UPDATE***** the company did not admit fault but paid all of my vet bills provided I don’t pursue further legal action. They know the food has issues ... show more

  • She recommended a HIGH protein diet for cats with kidney disease ...
Style: Cheddar Delights in Gravy Color: Tuna & Cheddar Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 24)
My cat has kidney disease and is 19. His brother died of kidney disease last year, and the vet I used then told me to put him on a low protein diet. He was not digesting the special and very expensive food I purchased from the vet, so I had to give him enemas, and fill syringes with laxative to shove down his throat... he was miserable. then, I read a book by a vet who raises cats. She recommended a HIGH protein diet for cats with kidney disease - closer to their natural diet. So, I'm feeding my 19 year old Fancy Feast supplemented by deli roast beef and turkey and he looks years younger than when first diagnosed! I attribute Fancy Feast to his healing and longevity. My vet asks me what I'm doing, because he can not believe how much he's improved! Yay Fancy Feast (and this vendor is a good source). ... show more

  • Fancy Feast almost KILLED my kitty!!!!!
Style: Gravy Color: Tuna Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 24)
My kitty had bloody diarrhea, vomiting and been avoiding litter box for months. I didn't know it was the food problem at first, plus her symptoms were on and off so I kept feeding her FF. But 2 months ago (Jan 2020), I ordered a new box of FF. She suddenly got very sick, lost so much weight, not responding to calls, not drinking, ate little and her diarrhea was so bad that she couldn't control it at all. I almost thought she was gonna die. Took her to the vet for several times, did blood tests, x-rays & everything. Vet said she was dehydrated, having infections in her intestines and it was her food problem. I stopped feeding FF and her symptoms relieved. In the past two weeks, she's still having problems pooping but she's having a normal life again; no longer hiding, eating & drinking fine. She's a senior kitty so she's recovering but slowly. Spent about $1500 on vet bills and diet change experimenting, not to mention kitty suffered so much and me worried sick. I tried contacting Purina. Customer service redirected me to a third-party claim management company, which I've been trying to reach for 2 days but no response. Trash company been poisoning my kitty. They don't care about animal lives and customers at all. So save yourself and your kitty, AVOID Purina products AT ALL COST!!! ... show more

  • my cats always loved it.
Style: Gravy Color: Chicken Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 24)
For years I have been purchasing this ...my cats always loved it.....the last 2 cases I bought they would not eat threw can after can away.....sniffed and turned their heads. I had 1 can left in the cabinet from a previous order and opened and gave it to them and they gobbled it down....either these cases came from a bad lot or Purina has changed the formula for it..my code on the good can started with SP now the cans only have numerical numbers on them. One reviewer posted that the ingredients had definitely been changed "It lists "Fish Broth, Ocean Fish, Liver, Wheat Gluten" as the first four. On the can, it's "Fish Broth, Ocean Fish, Wheat Gluten, Liver". Corn oil is now #10 (it wasn't there at all before), and there are other discrepancies. Not only did they cheap out on the ingredients to the point that my cats no longer eat it, but the price went up at the same time. ... show more

  • My cat thinks its Crack
Style: Cheddar Delights in Gravy Color: Chicken & Cheddar Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 24)
I bought this by mistake and when I started to feed her she wouldn't stop meowing. I got some other flavors for her but this is the one, the chicken and cheddar! she won't eat the whitefish. but this one is ridiculous she might be addicted and need an intervention, I don't think my pet Insurance offers a rehab program! ... show more

  • Approved by my cat
Style: Gravy Color: Liver & Chicken Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 24)
Fancy feast has become one of the staples of my kitten's food. The gravy is what does the trick, added to the fairly good quality of the ingredients. She seems to be loving every one of these cans and I rotate them all the time to ensure that she has no deficiency nor boredom associated with the same food every day. So far, I tried the grilled, sliced (seems almost the same to me) and she loves them both the same. The only food that she still prefers to the Purina Fancy feast is my home made chicken recipe for her, made with love with the chicken skin, cartilages, some chicken meat and more importantly the gizzards, hearts, liver that I leave in the chicken while I roast it. I mix the whole thing in a paste, put in containers that I do freeze and with one chicken, I get about 15 small portions that I give her in between cans... I have to add that she also loves her treats more than the Purina cans but I cannot feed her with treats. In conclusion: Fair price (on Amazon), good variety, a satisfied and well fed kitten are worth 5 stars! ... show more

  • Cats Have Suddenly Refused to Eat ALL Fancy Feast flavors
Style: Gravy Color: Seafood & Poultry Variety Pack Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 30)
For years, the only canned food my cats would eat was Fancy Feast. The last few orders, I though maybe it was new flavors but they turned their noses up at their favorites, too. Indoor only cats, not exposed to toxins including harsh cleaners, and their health at only 11 is deteriorating to the point where on is nothing but bones and another passed suddenly this last Monday and the vet was questioning poison as a cause. There is nothing in my house that could be done this. I am not saying its the food, but when looking for recall information I ended up on Consumer affairs ... I will be throwing out what it left of anything made by Purina. ... show more
