  • Affordable & actually diabetic friendly.
Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 12) Color: Beef in Gravy
It’s very VERY hard to find ANY gravy type cat food with 6% carbs or less which is what’s best for all cats but especially obese & diabetics. Super moisture rich. Great aroma. Cats go crazy for it. Makes fantastic topper because it’s extra rich w/gravy…no liquid sinking to bottom of bowl when using a low carb dry food such as Dr. Elseys Clean Protein or Wysong for cats & dogs. I feed for health 1st & foremost. This does contain wheat gluten & fish or at least most of the FF Naturals contain fish even when label says chicken. Double check ingredients to see if any don’t contain fish. I don’t remember but pretty sure they all do though it’s the last ingredient so there is less fish than the proteins preceding fish in ingredients list. My brother is a vet & you can google why but fish should be a treat or fed only occasionally & at the very least make sure fish is not 1st in the ingredients. The aroma smells like a human beef stew. There are no potatoes or grains other than the unfortunate gluten. No beans or legumes. We’re feeding carnivores not goats folks. 😜 I feed this only once a week or here & there for that reason(fish) but some cats will ONLY eat gravy & if your cat is a gravy addict this may be one of the lowest carb gravy rich foods available. My cats are aged 1 to 16 & all love this & all are healthy & good weights. They also don’t ONLY lick the gravy but eat the chunks too! Fancy Feast you can do better & get rid of the gluten but thank you for finally offering a low carb diabetic friendly gravy food. Everyone knows FF is affordable but this new Gourmet Naturals is a step above with no grains (except gluten), potatoes or pumpkin or carrots. No dyes! No byproduct which is huge for my cats! I wouldn’t feed exclusively but it’s better than so many foods that are affordable & as good as some that aren’t affordable. I would recommend the FF Gormet Natural PATE over this as it has the added benefit of No caragenon (misspelled) & no wheat gluten! It also has even LESS carbs at same price but some cats love their gravy. I prefer the other but also occasionally feed this. Easy to open can. Can has lip with no sharp edges (double check) so I feed straight from can. Lots of real meat! Must be tasty based on their reaction & so inexpensive in comparison to high quality gravies that ALWAYS have more carbs. I’d rather expose my cats to gluten with low carbs than feed an expensive gravy without gluten that has way too many carbs. Many people from the world renowned cats.com are happy with this food & feel like Purina is moving in the right direction ESPECIALLY with the Pate line. Cans rarely come dented but the time it did happen I called & got a complete refund in 3 mins. Usually packaged well. Arrived in two to three days in my semi rural area. I must remove one star for the gluten. Otherwise it would be 5 stars. Please click like if my review is helpful. Good luck! 👍 🐱 Update: All flavors do contain fish as last ingredient. The ONLY gravy I can find that’s low carb & ok for diabetics. If you can choose please purchase the Pare since it’s healthier without wheat $ extremely low in cabs. Some cats are addicted to gravy. Don’t waste your time trying to find a gravy with lower carbs. I’ve done the research from outrageous expensive to store brand & Gourmet Natural w/gravy still has the lowest carbs. I hate to see the wheat but I’m not sure it’s possible to make a gravy without some sort of starch, flour or grain so according to many world famous research cat food websites this gravy is the very best. Purina, please make at least one flavor without fish in the ingredients My brother my veterinarian loves the new Gourmet Natural line & his only complaint is to please offer one without fish. He feeds this along with Turkey & Giblets Classic that does not have fish. He believes fish are linked to heavy metals in our cats, vitamins E & B1 malabsorption & cats getting addicted to fish protein thus refusing all other proteins & a v vicious cycle starts 🐈 Fish in moderation & best if a named fish like anchovies. Small fish have fewer toxic metals. Plus when label just says fish you don’t know what fish your cats eating. Fresh water catfish is much healthier than say Tuna because of metals. This is a huge step in right direction for Fancy Feast & remember fish is the last ingredient so don’t let that stop you from buying especially if your cat loves gravy or needs low carb. Technically all cats need low carb but diabetics need 5% & under & all the Pates meet that criteria & the gravy comes closer than any other gravy! ... show more

  • Picky cat, sigh…
Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 12) Color: Salmon in Gravy
I fed this new flavor three nights in a row, and my cat LOVED it. Ate all of it right away. I ordered the 12 pack, and….. won’t eat it. For now. He does this sometimes with other flavors, so I expect in a week or so he’ll eat it again. Frustrating, but not unusual, really. Very juicy cat food, I’ve sometimes spilled a little sauce when I open the can. Nice shreds of fish, no bad smell. And he did like it, initially. ... show more

  • Picky Familiar's Favourite!
Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 24) Color: Savor Centers Variety Pack
You know how it goes: You find your feline friend his (mine's a rescue boy named Puddin' Pi, previously "Scratches", which was *clearly* incorrect, so I'll be using the male gender, even though he's fixed) favourite tinned food, stock up and then his nose is turned up. Well, in times like these, when you're lucky to find any tinned food, let alone the brand he likes, or the Holy Grail of type and even particular flavour, you do the very thing you swear you would never do, and empty the shelves of said product. I didn't! In fact, I offered some to my upstairs neighbours when Pi was having a change of heart toward this (TBH) true love of his. It was random and lasted about three days. Hysterical. The boy came to me at four years old and it took him almost a year to trust me enough to sit on me, and months before he would let me touch him for more than a few seconds. So, he is slow with his affections and can still be a tad skittish, or has a sense of humour. Apparently, the upstairs cats will now eat nothing but this. Ooops! Although I dislike plastic, I have bought other FF products that come in such containers, as canned foods have become harder to find locally, for at least a year. I tried giving these to Pi, but his heart is with the Savory Centers. Pi doesn't mind a different type for a palate cleanse now and then, or tolerates it. I have a bowl of high quality dry food down at all times, and then he likes me to give him small amounts of the wet food at a time. It's a bit like having water from a tap, rather than a bowl, I suppose. It took me a while to figure out what worked for him, and I'd much rather serve him amuse bouche amounts throughout the day, than plop down the whole tin/plastic container and then have to deal with the slowly crisping results left behind. I'm on an extremely limited income, and before I understood Pi's preferred servings, it was hard to watch my non disposable income turn into inedible cat food rocks. Did I mention I'm a vegetarian, and that my beloved dog died, so nobody else would be eating up petrified cat food? You *know* Pi isn't even worth mentioning here! (And yet, here I am)! Anyway, I have a couple of cases of "other" food in my pantry, in case the supply chains get completely shut down. I open one now and then, and Pi obliges, by eating sub par (in his far more developed palate than mine) food for a day. Or, at least pushing each wee serving around his plate with his tongue and giving it a polite nibble, before shaking a rear leg at it and then dashing off to bop at a toy mouse. But, basically, what makes him actually vocalise his happiness, is when I crack open a tin of Savory Centers, and slice out a third for his dining pleasure. He pops up on his rear legs as I lean down with his plate, and mews the sweetest little sound, that fills me with joy. Because our companion animals bring us so much pleasure in this seriously confusing and too often dark and depressing world, it's fantastic to have something we can rely on, if only for a while, that we know makes them happy. So, I'd say you should buy some for your familiar, but just don't empty the shelves! Not all of us have the money to do that, and more important, it's really not fair to do that, as it's creating a shortage that may not even exist, and then we have price gouging. Buy a case, or a few tins, and hey, if your familiar doesn't like it, then donate to a shelter, or to needy neighbours like mine...they are teachers, need I say more? Fancy Feast makes great products, so I don't need to say anything about that, right? My late cat, Jammy Dodger, loved a completely different line of their food, but Pi is a gravy boy, so, between the lava cake type center and the pate style; this is his favourite food. For now! ... show more

  • My Cat Loves this flavor!
Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 24) Color: Chopped Grill
I have a very finicky cat who won't eat every flavor so I can't get a variety pack for him. And he has a health condition that limits him to non-seafood flavors. That doesn't leave too many choices. But he really likes this particular flavor a lot! I'd also like to add, I got a 24 pk of this product and, unlike other shipping horror stories I've heard, it arrived in perfect condition and no cans were damaged or dented. ... show more

  • Great diabetic cat choice despite “Catflation”
Size: 3 Ounce (Pack of 24) Color: Savory Salmon
As we likely know, canned cat food is becoming a scarce commodity in this extended Covid era. Our diabetic cat requires foods high in protein and low in carbs and fat. We first tried Tiki at a cost of $1.25 per can after Royal Canin Glycobalance became nearly unfindable. The cost of that one? A painful for humans $1.90 a can. I had also read that the Fancy Feast pate varieties are typically good choices. YES! 11% protein and just 4% fat for this particular salmon variety is a reasonable balance I have yet discovered. With ongoing “catflation” he cost with subscribe and save is now up to .84 a can. In terms of taste, Fancy Feast is by far his favorite as less messy to get out of the can for me. Winner winner kitty dinner! ... show more
