Beautiful beverage container - 13oz - just classy and simply the best.

This item works like it says. The double wall insulated glass holds cold or heat for decent amount of time. What I like best about as opposed to my 18 oz Yeti is that with the Yeti if you put something fresh hot in it and hour later it's still way too hot to drink without burning your mouth. Zen tea tumbler holds heat long enough to keep it warm, but not so hot that you can't drink it. After waiting about 15 or 20 minutes the tea or coffee inside should be cooled down enough to enjoy without burning yourself. What I don't like about it, is that the infuser does let some small particles escape form the infuser. I brewed some Japanese Sencha green tea in it for the first two brews, and it did let some of the sediment escape. However when I brewed some loose leaf Massala Chai tea it seemed to work better. if you were to take a tea bag and cut it open and dump into the infuser basket, bag tea usually uses finer broken leavers and therefore will allow for sediment in your drink. But if you use a quality loose leaf tea with longer leaf structure it will work better. To be clear I do not have an issue with the way that the infuser basket infuses. It infuses the tea just fine. The infuser is very easy to use screws on and off with ease. I would suggest to this company that they might try using a different mesh material for the infuser basket much like that screen mesh used for the Finum brewing baskets. Otherwise it's great. I also like the aesthetics of the Zen Tea Tumbler. Nice packaging as well. 01/18/2024. I would like to edit my initial review from four stars to five stars. I have to say that I was very impressed with the customer service and follow up from Laura the owner and creator of the Pure Zen Tea Tumbler. Laura reached out to me to address my concerns. The design and material are nice. However the main purpose of double wall is to keep it warm for long, and this bottle doesn’t keep warm at all..... besides, it’s quite easy to end up with leaking because the bottom is also screwed on. It’s great design as it allow easy cleaning. But the sealing parts was poorly manufactured, hence quite difficult to screw it back properly to have a good seal, end up leaking easily. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm updating my rating to 4-star after giving it a second try, and have been using for about a year now. It's good quality glass that it's easy to clean, haven't chip or crack with normal usage so far. The seal/leak issue seem to a common problem many other review mentioned. I initially experience it often also. But then after using it "properly" for a while, you get used to on the how and tightness needed to avoid leaks. So, some learning curve. Good: it does keep my tea warm for long enough. To the owner's point, You cannot compare this directly to some Japanese brand-name stainless steel thermos. Those are meant to keep hot water hot warm overnight. But since they are stainless steel, you are not supposed to use them for tea. For tea-drinking, it's meant to brewed and drink within an hour or two anyways. So, the ability of keeping it warm for enjoying the tea, I actually think it's just about right. Good: able to open on both ends, allow me to clean it easily. and the quality of glass is actually pretty good that any of my tea stain on the glass can be rub off so easily. To be Improved: the seal is definitely something to be improved on. It takes learning curve to tighten it "properly". And when it's done proper, it actually seals it so good that the vacuum is so difficult to open. I sometimes filled it with hot hot water, and forgot about it after ~3 hours. The whole tumbler is cool to room temperature already, and created some vacuum inside. It took so much effort to open it again because the vacuum is sealing it so good. In a way, my good and bad points above a somewhat contradicting themselves. But wouldn't it be cool if somebody come up with a design that can tackle both front? It's a challenge. :) That being said, I'm pretty happy with this tumbler actually. I will buy again if this one break somewhere down the road.

I love that I can enjoy my loose leaf hot tea and sassy cold water while at work and on the go with this product. It’s simple to use. Easy to clean. The glass one has a very elegant appearance. I did purchase the metal one too for a more durable option during rugged travel.
