I love moissanite for so many reasons and could not resist this gorgeous Fullove Heart Necklace. It is simply beautiful. The centerpiece of this necklace is the stunning 3-carat moissanite gemstone, which sparkles beautifully in any light. The pendant design is truly special. It features two intertwining hearts, which evoke the shape of an infinity symbol. This design gives it a deep, symbolic meaning, and would be perfect for an anniversary or a heartfelt gift. One heart is lined with stones and the other is plain sterling silver. The 925 sterling silver in the setting is polished and has a lovely shine. The chain is a delicate yet sturdy silver chain with a lobster claw style clasp. It does not have an extension, but it does fall just below the collarbone, making the pendant a focal point. As an FYI, moissanite is silicon carbide, a mineral that occurs in nature. It is extremely rare and therefore produced in labs. It is often preferred over diamonds in industrial applications due to the similarity to natural diamonds at a much lower cost. Moissanite began to be produced for jewelry in the late 1990’s and I, for one, am so happy they did! Moissanite is graded just like natural diamonds and truly look like diamonds. This is definitely an occasion necklace, though I wore it for a week when I first got it! It comes packaged in a beautiful heart shaped box shaped like a heart presentation box, making it an ideal gift. There are also certification cards that verify the authenticity of the moissanite; color, clarity and hardness rating. This is a gorgeous necklace to give or to keep. I love all the fire reflected with Moissanite and this beautiful 4 Ct heart-shaped, D color stone did not disappoint. Others have written about the beautiful presentation and packaging. What I didn't see anyone else mention is that the chain is attached to either side of the setting. The beauty of that is this gorgeous, small, and expensive stone won't accidentally drop from the chain and slide down the drain or floor register when you take it out of the box or try to put it on. That may not be a problem at your house, but four years later I am STILL looking for a favorite earring I heard fall in the bathroom. The Stirling silver cable chain is lovely, doesn't compete with the main event, and should be easy to polish or keep its shine with a simple wipe of the enclosed polishing cloth. I had a little trouble using the lobster claw closure because I couldn't see it to catch the little jump ring. It was easy with the mirror. When I saw the photo of the four carat heart, I was afraid it was going to be ostentatious. In the second photo with the pretty brunette wearing the necklace, it looks like it might be about the size of a quarter. Not so. It has a nice weight, is certainly large enough to be seen, looks like it costs many times over what it did, and it is very tasteful. I can't say enough nice things about this beautiful necklace. If you have never purchased a moissanite stone, do not hesitate. It is brilliant - full of light and sparkle! Nothing like a CZ, which can be pretty but kind of lifeless - absolutely no comparison to moissanite. And without going into all the detail about the wonderful packaging others did such a great job relating, I will say this beautiful red gift box is staying with me. I don't always keep the gift boxes, but this is exceptional and will be easy to find and remember what's inside without having to look. One more thing, I do register my moissanite stones with their specific number with the GRA people. It not only validates the quality, it will identify it's mine should it ever need to be proven. This is a 4ct, heart shape cut of a Moissanite diamond. These lab created diamonds have a lot of similarities as a diamond but without all the ethical conflict that surrounds mining in the earth. This makes Moissanite diamonds a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative to real diamonds extracted from the earth. On the Mohs scale for hardness the lab created diamonds rate at a 9.25 compared to a real diamond at 10. This lets you know that the Moissanite diamond is similar in durability and sturdiness. The refractive index is 2.65 on the Moissanite diamond compared to the 2.42 of a real diamond. This shows that the light bends are similar between the two. For the most part the color and clarity is often better in the Moissanite diamond compared to its real counterparts but at only a fraction of the cost. The thermal conductivity is similar too. That’s why if you use a diamond tester on a Moissanite diamond it may often beep like a real diamond would. This classic and timeless piece makes it easy to wear dressed up or down.
