I have now washed and used my new red 500 count sheets four times and am very impressed. I have been looking for over a year for decent red sheets and was very disappointed with an earlier purchase. These sheets, however, were reasonably priced, well made, and very comfortable. In addition, they fit the bed well. I just went ahead and bought an additional set in royal blue; another color I have had a difficult time locating in a mid-range priced sheet. I'm so glad I made this initial purchase! We have been sleeping on these sheets for about a week now and we LOVE them! I have been searching for new sheets for quite a while now and all I could find was microfiber - I hate microfiber! These sheets have a silky look to them but don't feel overly silky or slick. They are extremely soft and are not thin and flimsy like a lot of sheets tend to be. As a retired seamstress, I pay special attention to the construction and the sewing details of items and was very happy with these sheets and their construction. This attention to details translates to long-lasting sheets which will hold up beautifully for many washings. There were no loose threads, no unfinished corners, and they were serged and sewn quite professionally. Before even opening the package, I was impressed with the packaging itself which spoke to high standards and quality. These sheets would make wonderful gifts for the bride-to-be or any family member needing a lovely surprise of new bedding. The cotton is soft to the touch and the dark grey color I choose very pretty and elegant. These sheets will not disappoint. A tip to keep them looking beautiful: wash them in cool to cold water and dry them on the lowest setting. Take them out of the dryer as soon as the cycle is complete to keep them smooth and wrinkle-free. For the first wash, add a cup of baking soda or 1/2 cup of salt before putting them on your bed. Enjoy them! I especially liked that this company makes a donation toward education of the underprivileged across the globe with each purchase. I have Lupus and it effects my skin making it very sensitive. I have to be careful of any material that touches my skin from clothing, bath towels and even my linens. I have purchased and given away hundreds of dollars worth sheets because they cause an irritation, my skin gets sore, burns and itches no matter how careful I am in cleaning them. I saw these sheets and I loved the colors but didn't think I could ever sleep under them. I saw that they were 100% cotton, the price was right and I thought "what the heck, I'll try them".
