I don't know how this fabric can be called "Egyptian" cotton. The fabric is heavy and has a rough texture. I have washed them once and perhaps with more washing they will soften. If you want a more silky textured light weight set of sheets give these a pass.

I’ve been hunting for high thread count pure cotton sheets for a few months since moving to the US. Most retailers seem to cut the fabric with polyester which is quite disappointing. I found these sheets and thought I’d give them a try and they are amazing! Fabric is soft and easy to clean.
