For summer, I really like the lightweight feeling of these shoes. The sole is soft and comfy, and the fabric breathes well. However, I found them to run small. I usually order a size nine, mostly Merrells, and they fit perfectly. I ordered this shoe in a nine and should have ordered a nine and a half. They fit if I go barefoot, but they are a bit snug, even with a lightweight ankle sock. Disappointing. The shoe offers many design features, like the wide Puma band on the back and embroidered Puma on the toe. The lace feature differs from most shoes and works, but I prefer the standard lace. Overall, the quality is pretty good, and as I mentioned before, I like the attention to detail. That said, my pair arrived with a banding seam around the ankle that was already separating after one wear. My concern is how well they will hold up. Time will tell.

They're slip-ons, so the laces are mainly for decoration. I suppose you could really sinch down on your feet, but they don't feel like you should. The extra curved sole is ... odd. It curves up a LOT in the front and curves up even more in the rear. I feel like I'm supposed to walk weird when I wear them, like the awkward old person speed walking weird style. The heel is horrible. At first I thought it was the weird soles. Then I noticed the heel sticks out quite a but more from the back of the shoe. I've come close to falling down the stairs because the back of the heel caught on the step, and I'm no where near the age I'm falling down any stairs. I almost feel like cutting the extra heel bit off. Even if I chopped off the heel, there's still a stiff strap that sticks out too. Just horrible design. The slip on nature of them, I think they'll live at the front door and become my out to the mailbox/trash shoes. I drove with them once. I'm one of those weird Americans driving a manual. It wasn't great. But I will admit, they are both light and comfy. ... just don't walk far or walk down stairs in them.
