Update : I've revised my rating to better reflect the company that sells this pillow and the quality of the product itself. 1 star off because of Amazon's handling of the product, and I think it is better for back and stomach sleepers rather than side sleepers with neck problems. The company that sells the pillow refunded my money. I just could not get the smell out of it. All problems were caused by how the product was handled during shipping from Amazon, not the innate quality of the product. If you have neck pain, this is a good pillow to try. I do think it would work better for back or stomach sleepers. Especially if like me you sleep on your side with your lower arm up under the pillow. Three stars because I haven't had this long and there was a problem when it arrived////Amazon doesn't provide a place to mention that the large Amazon Prime box my packaged pillow came in REEKED of stale tobacco smoke as did the inside packaging materials. The box and contents except for the pillow are now outside in the rain as I couldn't stand the odor in my house. Luckily: The pillow comes well packed and is vacuum sealed and wrapped tight in a plastic bag inside the cardboard box it come in from the manufacturer. So the pillow itself was not effected. Now for the pillow review: I'm about $1000 into cervical pillows. I also have a shoulder problem so getting just the right support for both issues generally involves many pillows and a lot of propping, then readjustments through the night. I wake with shoulder pain, arm numbness, and a sore neck and back. I saw a similar pillow design and decided to do a little research and decided to give this one a try. Factors were price (I have a closet full of very expensive failures), the fabric was described as soft and it has a washable cover, and the video reviews let me get an idea how it actual worked with a live human body. The pillow came out of the box and started to "re-inflate itself" quickly. Absolutely no gassing of odors which I usually expect with memory foam. It was a little hard at first to tell the high side from the lower side but on trying it out the difference is obvious. I'm a small woman so I use the low side. Took a nap with it and found it to be cool and comfortable. It's basically one pillow designed to work with your arms the way having two pillow does...it gives space to put your lower arm without compressing it if you are a side sleeper and for me at least I found that that I could also prop my upper arm so that my shoulder does not drop forward and compress nerves. I rarely sleep on my back but I tries that out. The divot in the middle cradles the head nicely, and supports the neck in a position that may help with snoring issues. The "butterfly wing" design on either side of the head gently prevent the head from rolling to the side. The pillow is firm enough to support the head and neck properly but soft enough to be comfy. (I'm use to propping on two high end feather pillows...so very high loft but moldable as I form the edge of one into a cervical roll...just to give an idea of what I am used to.) So this pillow is firmer than I am use to but was not uncomfortable...at least not for a long nap. I've dealt with sleep issues from the neck injury for about 40 years and the shoulder about the last 10 years. So based on experience with past pillows for these problems I'm expecting that there will be 1 - 3 weeks of adjustment to this pillow, and I expect some soreness after a full night's sleep as my neck and back muscles adjust. For the right support the transition period is worth it. Especially if there is actual daytime improvement in my neck, and not just a better sleeping experience. I have high hopes for this one. And I'll be back to edit this review in a few weeks when I've seen how this one does in the long run. ... show more

So far I’m happy with this pillow. I have bad neck problems and never have found a pillow that doesn’t make my neck hurt in the morning. But I think this one is actually helping. I’m a side sleeper through and through. But this pillow is actually helping me sleep on my back more which I feel is helping so I’m not smashing my shoulder inward and tweaking my neck all weird too. I Was a little sore the first week but I wasn’t in pain when I woke up! I get massages biweekly and see a chiropractor almost twice a week so I keep up on my issues. So for me to say it’s helping is a big deal. bc usually I just waste $$ on brands that promise relief and then it’s junk. So far happy and not giving up! ... show more

It definitely improves posture for sleep, and it's comfortable for side sleep and back. It has a hypoallergenic cover that can be washed. Would be cool to come in other colors than white or optional covers in fun patterns to match bedding. Overall , very comfortable

I must have a short neck, my ear cannot line up with the depression in the middle of the pillow like in the pictures. I use both the higher side and the lower side both are comfortable for me and help. I would probably not buy it again, though I will not return it.

I've been using the Pulatree Cervical Pillow for Neck Pain Relief, Odorless Contour Memory Foam Pillow (originally $40 purchase) for over a month now. Prior to this fancier pillow, I used two generic pillows and previously to that (briefly) a generic memory foam pillow (which had no support for me). It used to take me a long time to get my head comfortable so that I could sleep. With this pillow, I often just need to adjust my head a little and it feels okay and I fall asleep pretty quickly. Not struggling to get into a comfortable position has been a great improvement. It can be sometimes a little hard to get the sweet spot for your head, so that can be annoying, but overall it's not too bad. The case the pillow comes with came off pretty easily and washed well with the rest of my clothes, which was nice, and it was easy to put back on, even with the contours. Overall, it's helped my sleep and was worth the $40. I'd say 4.5/5 stars overall. Note: You do need to make sure the pillow is facing the right way (top of head vs where your neck is) or you end up uncomfortable like I was before I realized it. ... show more

    • I finally found a pillow that works!

Who knew just finding a pillow can be so hard? A pillow that caused my neck to sit too high or too low meant that I would wake up to my arm falling asleep or just plain numb. This is perfect for a side sleeper, like myself. I've been using it for over 6 months and I wish I found this sooner! It feels soft to lay on. But it is also firm. The worst thing about a lot of the pillows I've used is when I would go to lay my head on it, I would wake up to it flat. I have had some pillows that would be fine for about a month, but as it wore down, my neck would start pinching again. This pillow has kept its shape. I love the fact I have a place to put my arms. I love the fact that there are two sides to this pillow. There has been times that I have had to turn my pillow around to use the other side. The sides where I place my head are nice for the side of my face to rest on. The first night using it, it did take me a moment to adjust. But I knew this was what I was needing. My neck was right where it needed to be and I knew I didn't have to worry. After about a week or two, my head can't wait to lay on it for the night. :) For me, BEST PILLOW EVER! ... show more
