Update: I believe they recently did an update because now we are able to view the pedometer on the watch as well, but I believe the steps are off. I will try wearing it with my Galaxy watch and see how they compare. We purchased this watch for my 8 year old daughter so she can call me or I call her at school event functions or sleepovers. The watch is great for doing this and with the plan, they offer it's only $5 a month, which is a great price for us. We haven't had any issues with the calling feature and my daughter finds it easy to use. I recently inquired about a screen protector and purchased a 3 pack and those should be on the way, so I'm glad this watch offers that option. It does come with a texting feature which is done through the app you download. For my husband and I, this isn't an issue for us. It does also have a GPS feature, which sometimes can be a little off, but that's what we expected since this watch isn't as expensive as some of the watches out there. There is also a step counter on the watch, it logs the steps on the app, so you have to log into the app to see the steps which is kind of a bummer, but I am able to still show my daughter how she did and she turns this into a fun game. I bought this item for my 11 year old before he went to Disney World in Orlando with his grandma. There were several things I bought it for but the main attraction was the tracking, phone, and video message functions. Tracking- The makes it quite clear that this item was not designed for the United States but you can set it up so that it should work in theory. The problem is that it is completely wrong. The location it says the watch is at is a few miles away in the middle of an interstate. That is when it doesn't just say that the watch is offline. The watch can be beside you connected to your very good wifi and the app will still tell you a far away location or that it's offline. I've fiddled with settings and everything. Nothing works. Phone- This part could be my location but I doubt it. I might live in a more rural part of Florida but I do live in a the middle of a decent size city. There is also the fact that my son was in Orlando for his trip. The watch said he was offline or out of coverage area the entire time. What good is this item if you can't even speak to your child to make sure they are alright. Speedtalk only costs $10 per month, great!...If it worked for the purposes that you bought the watch for. AND they say it WON'T work as well on other carriers!!! That must be absolutely aweful! Video Messaging- It didn't work for this. The voice message function worked alright but you have to be on the app connected to your child's watch. That's all well and good for the parents but what if you want your child to be able to communicate with other friends or relatives? They all have to have the app and have it connected to your child's watch so that they can see the location. It's also more of a group chat. Sending an individual message is more difficult to figure out. The thing that irritates us the most about how this watch turned out is we paid more for this one than we wanted to pay AND it was this company's least expensive model. We wanted a different watch and just couldn't get it in time so we settled for this one. The price on the other was better but it also seems to be a US based company so maybe we can return this one and get the one we originally wanted. These watches are a great idea but it is best to buy one that's DESIGNED to work in your country, not just COMPATIBLE. AMERICANS, PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! ... show more

I bought this watch and a redpocket GSTM sim to go with it and I should say I am pretty happy with the purchase. My kid really loves it and we feel a bit more safe when he goes out for play with the watch on. Its intuitive that even small kids can make a call to their parents in the contact list and we can also video chat with them. The app has oppurtunity for improvement. GPS location is not accurate and the UI and text in the app is a little to get used to. But other than that I am pretty happy with the purchase. ... show more

UPDATE 11/03 DO NOT BUY, WATCH STARTED OVER HEATING WHILE WEARING WATCH AND WONT STAY CHARGED, IT WILL DIE IN A COUPLE HOURS. 06/06/ Well it's a pretty good phone watch, kinda cheap, the screws I had to remove to place Sim card got lost. The band is too small kinda of tight on sons wrist, not sure if I can buy an adults wrist band. It looses GPS location alot My son can call me but calling him don't always go through. It scratches easy no screen protector. Volume and ringer options are limited. Hard to control screen not too sensitive and too small. You can only text in the app which sometimes don't always connect. Not sure how to get music on it for a better ring tone for my son. I'm still looking for a better kids watch. It's not $5 a month when I signed up it's $10. Smh ... show more

I bought this watch for my 9 year old daughter to wear to school or other places she cannot have her phone so that she can call or text me if necessary. It is perfect! It comes WITH the SIM card you need and then you activate it through speed talk and can choose a monthly plan ($5, $6, or $10/mo). So, the app is relatively easy to use, but setting up the SIM card on the watch was kind of a challenge. I am a Google Fi cell phone service user and I had to type in the configuration into the watch (can't do it from the app). Due to the screen size and keyboard layout in the settings menu, this took a while. The charging adapter is also a pain. It's magnetic and the magnet is so weak that the curve of the charging cable makes it disconnect from the watch. We basically have to tape it to the watch in order to get it to charge at all. I'm not sure I would recommend this one, but I haven't found a better alternative. ... show more
