Description

The SE Silver Sky is a familiar iteration of the original Silver Sky model that was first introduced with John Mayer in 2018. This workhorse guitar provides ample tone and playability in four distinct colors, delivering looks, feel, and sound. The PRS SE Silver Sky starts with a poplar body, bolt-on maple neck, and rosewood fretboard with PRS trademark bird inlays. The 22-fret, 25.5” scale length neck features the original 635JM carve and an 8.5” fretboard radius, so the PRS SE Silver Sky will feel right at home. Plug it in, and the three single-coil 635JM “S” pickups will bark and sing. This guitar is anchored by a two-point steel tremolo, synthetic bone nut, and vintage-style tuners. Other design features include the PRS Silver Sky inverted headstock shape and the PRS double-acting truss rod (accessible from the front of the headstock for ease of use). Ships with PRS Classic 10-46 strings and gig bag.

Absolutely LOVE this guitar! It’s my first S type guitar (I’ve always played Gibson Les Paul’s, and Schecters). But I have to say, this guitar sounds great, looks great, and feels great! I got a used one from Amazon, and to be honest, it felt brand new, mint condition. I expected the strings to be a little rusty, but nope! The strings were in perfect, brand new condition. The set up was great too! HIGHLY recommend anyone who’s look for a S type guitar to give this a try. You won’t regret it. Great guitar. I'm impressed of how versatile this guitar is from playing beautiful cleans all the way to playing some gritty raw rock n roll sound. Not very heavy it has a good weight to it. The tuning stability on the guitar I give it a 8.5 out of 10, without using the tremolo bar it rarely goes out of tune, but when you use the tremolo bar it slightly goes out of tune. Excellent color options. Once I got the guitar out of the gig bag it was setup perfectly ready to play instantly, I didn't have to set it up. ... show more

If you've been thinking about a parlor acoustic, pull the trigger. I was torn between this and the Gretsch penguin. But the all magaginy body and the beautiful inlays of this guitar made me second guess, and I'm glad I did. The sound is amazing, especially plugged in. You can get a great diversity of sound. The only problem with this guitar is the tuners. They're super cheap and a bit prone to slipping. I did a simple cheap upgrade to some Grovers, and couldn't be more satisfied. ... show more

Not sure we’re to start. I like Stratocasters have had several currently a player series plus top hss and an American ultra start sss . This se silver sky is a great guitar. Its light sounds great. Every bit as good as ithe American ultra. (Hardward seems to be a little better on the ultra ) The fit and finish is excellent. Honestly if it didn’t have the plastic coated tuner knobs and volume tone knobs seem a little cheesy. The fret work, fitting is every bit if not better than the American ultra. I love to try the. American series silver sky. I suggest if your in the market for a strat may want to pick one of these silver sky’s up and try them side by side. You be impressed for the quality and price range these are fun and comfortable to play. ... show more
