Description

Originally introduced in 1988, the CE has become an essential part of the PRS line-up, offering the snap and response of bolt-on construction. The SE CE 24 Standard Satin is the most affordable CE yet, pairing an all-mahogany body with a bolt-on maple neck. The mahogany body features a thin satin finish that results in a highly resonant instrument, and the maple neck’s semi-gloss finish provides a smooth playing feel. The PRS 85/15 “S” pickups provide extended high and low end with clarity and balance, while the push/pull tone control adds the versatility of coil taps. This workhorse instrument delivers looks, tone, and playability, and is a great option for beginning players through professional musicians thanks to its high-quality build and popular price tag.

  • Quality and Great Price
Color: Vintage Cherry
I'm just an average guitar player. I can't shred like the people you see on YouTube, etc. More a collector than player. But this guitar is the perfect guitar to start into electric solid body guitars or hollow body electrics if that is your preference. It really is way above average for the beginner in every way, including the price. Yes, you can purchase a $100 solid body electric, but you'll spend a boat load of money on getting the guitar in playing order. This guitar...just tune it up and go. I see no reason to change out the pickups or work on the fretboard, unless you're an accomplished guitarist or plan on using it at gigs all the time. In that case, you should purchase a higher-end PRS, and spend a minimum thousand dollars, or much, much more on whatever model you prefer. This model guitar has been around for a year or more, but I would highly recommend this guitar for a beginner or an accomplished guitarist to just to kick around with it. I purchased the satin red cherry model, and it is beautiful. I have 64' Gretsch's and old Fender Strats and Martins, and a whole slew of other classics, and I'm sold on PRS. Will be purchasing their higher models now to add to the collection. Buy it...I don't think you can go wrong. ... show more

  • You Always Remember Your First
Color: Vintage Cherry
I love this guitar. When I opened the box and pulled it out of its awesome gig bag for the first time, I knew we were meant to be together. I gently caressed it's smooth satin red finish, sensuously stroked the smooth, perfectly finished neck, and I could almost hear the bird inlays chirping and calling to me. The moment I plugged my cord into her, I knew we were meant to be together. She sang oh, so beautifully and I strummed her with my picker. She cried, just a little. I cried just a little. My first PRS. You always remember your first. ... show more

  • Great Bang for the Buck!
Color: Vintage Cherry
This is a great guitar for not a lot of money. Neck feels great and is easy to get around on. Mine holds it tuning very well. Action at the 12th fret seems just about 1/64 too high, I’ll lower it a bit when I put new strings on it. The pick ups could probably be a little fatter, but for the price, they rock pretty well. ... show more
