Description

Perfect for milling, drilling, routing, polishing, cutting, cleaning, brushing, deburring, sawing, engraving, carving, etc. These lightweight high precision tool in a pen style design (diameter only 35mm (1.4")) is ergonomically formed to allow comfortable handling and optimal control. His quietness and effortless, vibration-free drive via the special permanent magnet motor, the ground spindle and collar bearing all contribute to the ergonomic design. An efficient cooling system facilitates extended use under various load conditions. Useable on any workable material e.g. steel, precious metals, wood, glass, ceramics, plastics, precious stones. Ideal for model builders, woodcarvers, jewelers, opticians, artists, dental technicians, tool and die makers, etc. Note: A mains adapter is required to operate the MICROMOT 60 devices. We recommend the PROXXON mains adapter NG 2/S. The speed control of our 12 volt devices only works when operated via nonstabilised power supply units (e.g. all MICROMOT mains adapters). Connection to stabilised power supply units is possible. However, the devices will then operate with maximum rotational speeds (also applies to operation with batteries). Technical data: Speeds from 5,000 - 20,000rpm (no load), weight: 230g (1.2 lbs), length: 220mm (8 21/32"). Low voltage for optimal safety, 12V DC, max 40W input. From the Manufacturer Proxxon micromot rotary tool 50/E. A specially balanced motor makes this tool run very smoothly at variable speeds from 5,000 to 20,000-Rpm (no load). • Great Hobby tool.
I have several of the Proxxon tools and they are in use daily. This rotary tool is perfect for my needs. It feels heavy duty and has a good weight to it. Constructed well and fits in my giant hand perfectly.

  • Proxxon Micromot 50/E
The micromot arrived in a hard clear plastic package with hard cardboard back, I also bought the NG 2 transformer which is great. The unit is very easy to use, 3 of the collects arrived with small particles that avoided a snug fit of the bits... I cleaned the collects and issue resolved but that was not right. At low rpm (5,000) the drive have slow vibration due to the way the motor is manufactured, at 10,000 rpm the tool is more stable; when you adjust the speed within 17,000 and 20,000 rpm sometimes the tool have a vibration and unpleasant noise if the bit is not properly balanced. I own a Foredom flexshaft that goes from 0 to 18,000 rpm but it does have a lot of torque which cannot be compared with this little tool and the precision of the H30 handpiece makes no play on the bit it looks rock solid at high and low rpms. The proxxon works fine with small burrs, 3/32" and 1/8" but as far as the body of the tool does not exceed more than 1/4" beyond that the tool will suffer unbalance and the noise above 10,000 makes you feel that the tool is going to be tear apart. I bought this tool to do detail on my wood carving projects, may be I will use it from time to time; but now more than ever I really appreciate the craftmanship, precision machining and solid work that the people of Foredom do on the tools made in U.S.A. I do not use it frequently but this little tool has been working fine after all these years. 4 stars now, works well to create details on woodcarvings and everything that won't take more than 15 minutes of use. ... show more

  • Smooth rotary tool
I've used Dremels for many years but discussion groups I've monitored seemed to be in consensus that the Proxxon is a smoother operating tool with lower runout. So I decided to try the Proxxon. My experience so far is that I agree with that consensus. I haven't taken a dial indicator to it, but initial experience confirms the lower runout, vibration and noise level. I'm happy with this purchase. ... show more

  • love the power
We own a pet grooming business and have used all the dremel type tools out there, they don't have the power this gem does. It will hold up and do the largest job with ease. Highly recommend

  • Low Quality
This is the third proxxon tool I have tried. The scroll saw and table saw I sent back. Proxxon makes low end low quality tolls sold at very high end prices. Your money will be much better spent on higher quality, lower priced tools.

  • NOT for heavy duty
I was looking for a Rotary tool to use in the garage mostly for automotive work. This is NOT the tool to have for this type of work. There is absolutely no torque to this tool at all. I would say it is designed more for a model hobbyist. It sucks to have to tote the transformer around to the job as well. Fuggit about it. ... show more
