Love this product. It keeps the bugs off the griddle surface while in storage. Its fits almost perfectly on the griddle. I have a lid that is attached to the griddle by 2 screws/nuts that keep the griddle mat from sitting perfectly on the griddle. It works perfectly though. Keeps everything off until I remove it for the next use. It's easy to clean and doesn't get dirty easily. It does soak up the oil a little, but that's okay. A little extra oil at the next use keeps it working as expected. Fits, works, great value for the cost of protecting the griddle surface.

I have been using parchment paper to protect. It's a lot of cleaning before I used. Wish I know this rubber cover earlier! Saved me a lot it time and keeps the griddle a longer life!

I have a 36" Blackstone with a lid and I wanted to give the griddle some extra protection so I ordered this mat. It fits perfectly and the edges go partway up the sides as shown in the photos of the listing. I saw some that went up and over the sides but I didn't think those would fit with my lid since it doesn't have much clearance between it and the griddle plate. This mat is flexible, pretty thick silicone and wipes clean easily. If need be it can be washed with soap and water if it gets too greasy from the griddle seasoning. When I'm using the grill, I just fold up the mat and stick it on the shelf below until I need to put it back on. I always keep a very light coating of oil on the grill between uses since it will burn off during the next use and the mat keeps things from sticking to it (like bugs and leaves) and it keeps my grill top clean (the lid doesn't keep out bugs well). My lid has a window in it which is not water tight so when it rains the mat keeps the water from puddling on the griddle since its water proof. If you have a griddle you need one of these to help protect your investment.

Fit was off so had to cut it a bit but great coverage protection other than that. Does not stick so far. Extremely thick so good for keeping stuff off than parchment or wax paper. For the money, it is not a bad price to help keep your griddle rust free.

I got this silicone mat to help protect my new 36" Blackstone grill. It drops onto the grill in a snap, and the edges of the mat make a good connection to the side and end walls of the grill, leaving no gaps at all. Between covering the grill surface and being snug against the walls, this mat will help protect the grill surface from dirt and debris that can get through the cracks and land (and stick!) onto the oiled surface. It will also help keep moisture off the surface, which would otherwise be a rust hazard. Being a bright orange, it is extremely obvious that something is on the grill, so it should never be overlooked when you're heating it up (even if you have a lid, you should always open the lid before lighting the burners). The mat is made of silicone, so it is also easy to clean -- just wipe it down with a damp cloth, or you could even stick it in under the kitchen faucet or even a garden hose. The mat has a good thickness as well, so I expect it to last for many years without ripping or wearing out. Even though my grill has a lid and I also use a cover, I feel much better knowing that this mat helps to directly protect the grill surface and keep it clean.

I just got a new Blackstone Griddle and so, when I saw this protector, I had to get it. Once I got it, I noticed just how soft it was. The quality really shines. The size is perfect and fits very nicely. The protector is fairly thick and seems durable. The protector is made of food-grade silicone with a heat rating of up to 450 degrees. This product will protect your griddle form bugs, spiders, dust, and moisture. It is very easy to use and easy to clean. I love this Blackstone Griddle protector and I think you will too.
