Full disclosure, I have yet to break these boots in completely. They fit very true to size, and are extremely wide for those of us that have a very wide foot. That's a hard thing to find in a shoe these days, especially when you have a 14 and 1/2 sized foot. My one complaint is that they are quite stiff even after several dozen outings. And they are rather large, and the best way that I can think to describe them as clunky. They're not exactly overly heavy, but they're just bulky. With those negatives out of the way, they are wonderfully waterproof, they are roomy and comfortable for a person with a very large and wide foot, their stylish looking, and they manage to hold up well under rough wear and tear of a large person. I would recommend these to anyone else who has an extremely wide and long foot, and is looking for a nice waterproof boot to get through a winter. I'm hoping that they will loosen up a bit once they are fully broken in, but there's stiff nature is not enough to keep me away. I was reluctant on buying boots without trying them on. Reading the other reviews really helped me choose to buy. I wear 13 extra wide. Most shoes and boots are a compromise between comfort and style. These boots are fantastic. I do a LOT of walking at work. My feet have never felt better after work. When I have worn my other boots I couldn't wait to get them off. These boots receive my highest review. I have not had any issues with the eyelets or the laces as others have noted. If you have big, wide feet, fallen arches, and tired achy feet, buy these..... you'll be happy. 6 month update - they are wearing out. The inside heel is now worn through and both heels outer soles came unglued from the boot. They were re-glued, but went from 5 to 4 stars. ... show more

I've been using these boots at work (HVAC recycling) and they've been fantastic. I have "XX-Wide" feet and it's really difficult to find shoes, let alone boots that aren't too narrow. I would have given them 4-5 stars because: they look nice, they have an aggressive tread, they are resistant to small burrs getting stuck on them. I would give them 1 star because: the 3E width is more like 1E on most shoes, they are not waterproof even in damp grass, the toe box is uncomfortably narrow. I bought these because I have a pair of Propet walking shoes that I love, I wouldn't buy hiking boots from them again, but I would definitely buy the regular walking shoes. ... show more

I recently discovered that I needed to be wearing "Extra-Wide" shoes which are typically designated with either three or four E's like "EEE" or "EEEE". The Extra Wide version of this boot which is EEE felt narrower than a normal Wide boot which is EE and is the size I was wearing before learning I needed a wider boot. I replaced it with their Extra-Extra wide which they claim is EEEEE. It is barely a EEE. So just be warned if you are needing anything wider than what is actually a EEE, these boots will not work for you. ... show more
