I bought this and the first time I used it I was instantly mad at myself for not buying it sooner! Used it with a diamond blade. The only thing I wish is that it was a little lighter, it gets pretty heavy in the hand after a while. But this thing is a beast! Highly recommend.

I’m changing my review to reflect recent information received. The tool itself is very powerful, and appears well made. I have yet to find any fault with the tool itself. I did complain that shipping damaged the grinder cosmetically. The inner box opened, and everything spilled out, causing minor damage. My biggest complaint was customer service, which is why I’m revisiting this review. I said I sent them several emails with no response. However, it seems my email did not receive their responses, they are working with me to resolve a minor issue. That minor issue is as follows. I know many angle grinder users have no use for guards. I am not among them. I believe a guard should be used, when possible, for both grinding and cutting. The supplied guard is heavy and nice, and I consider it for use in grinding applications. However, I personally believe that when using a cutoff (type 1) wheel, a semi-enclosed type 1 cutting guard should be used, especially with a tool this powerful. Promaker does not offer a guard of this nature, and I’ll add that other, more mainstream brands also do not. I understand that 9” grinders are seldom used for cutting these days, but if I can get a 9” cutting wheel, I should be able to get a 9” type 1 guard. That being said, Promaker’s engineers are looking for a compatible guard for me. I have a type 1 cutting guard for my little RYOBI, and I found a 7” type 27 guard from DeWalt that fits the Promaker. Why does no one offer a 9” type 1 guard? I don’t know, but I do not blame Promaker. I like this grinder a lot, so my review should reflect that. ... show more

I bought this to grind flat some mistakes in self leveling floor pour. It has plenty of power, and the soft start is a nice feature, but near the end of the project I started having to give the tool a slight shake after pulling the trigger. Perhaps I am using it for unintended purposes, but then again I bought it because it states it is heavy duty. ... show more
