These Project Cloud Genuine Leather Chelsea Boots in Light Taupe Suede, size 11 are absolutely gorgeous. I already love Chelsea boots for fall, but the combination of real leather/suede, a lightweight platform, and a memory foam insole makes these considerably more appealing than another pair of cute boots that my feet are going to regret two hours later. The light taupe suede is especially beautiful and gives them that perfect fall look. REAL Leather & Suede! I LOVE seeing 100% genuine leather in a pair of boots. The suede finish gives these such a soft, elevated appearance compared with synthetic suede, and the light taupe works beautifully with the Chelsea boot style. Real suede does require a little more care, especially around water and Michigan weather, but I'm willing to take care of good leather footwear. The Light Taupe Is Beautiful This is such a versatile neutral. The light taupe can work with jeans, leggings, sweaters, flannels, casual dresses, and skirts, and it coordinates beautifully with all of those warmer fall colors. It's lighter than the black and brown boots I normally gravitate toward, but I really like it on these. MEMORY FOAM! Can we please keep putting memory foam insoles into cute shoes? I love boots. My feet would also like boots to acknowledge that they're expected to walk in them. The cushioned insole is a huge plus, particularly for a style I might wear for hours rather than just long enough to take a picture. Lightweight Platform I really like the platform sole, especially because it's designed to remain lightweight. Chunkier boots can look fantastic but sometimes feel like you're walking around with bricks attached to your feet. These give me that substantial platform appearance without unnecessarily adding a ton of weight. Classic Chelsea Style Chelsea boots are one of those styles that just WORK. They're simple enough for everyday outfits but still look considerably more put together than basic sneakers. The ankle height also makes them easy to wear with different pants without having to figure out what I'm supposed to do with half a pant leg inside a tall boot. Size 11 I wear around an 11–11.5 Wide, so I'm always happy when cute women's shoes actually make it into the larger sizes. I would still LOVE to see true wide-width options and half sizes, especially an 11.5 Wide. Larger feet do not automatically mean narrow feet, and finding stylish shoes once you need both length AND width can become an adventure nobody requested. Perfect Fall Boots These basically scream fall to me. Give me jeans, a sweater or flannel, these boots, some country music, and somewhere involving trees changing colors, and I'm happy. They're stylish without looking overly dressy, which makes them much easier to work into normal everyday outfits. Quality & Durability With continued wear, I'll be watching the suede, elastic side panels, seams, sole attachment, tread, and memory foam insole. I'll also protect the suede appropriately because light-colored genuine suede and wet weather are not exactly best friends. Affordability & Value The genuine leather construction and memory foam cushioning add a lot of value for me. I'd rather have a good pair of versatile boots that can work with a large portion of my fall wardrobe than several pairs that look cute but aren't comfortable enough to actually wear. Availability & Suggestions My biggest request is MORE WIDE WIDTHS! I'd LOVE these in 11 Wide, 11.5 Wide, and 12 Wide, along with extended sizing beyond that. I'd also happily take this same boot in black suede, deep chocolate brown, cognac, burgundy, and a dark forest green. Overall These Project Cloud Genuine Leather Chelsea Boots in Light Taupe Suede, size 11 are an easy 5-star choice for me. I love the real suede, gorgeous taupe color, memory foam insole, lightweight platform, and classic Chelsea boot design. They're exactly the kind of fall footwear I want—cute enough to build an outfit around while still remembering that human feet require comfort. These look like fairly substantial lug-soled boots, so the first surprise was their weight. My wife's size 6 boots weigh only about 10.5 ounces each. The upper appears to be genuine suede leather, consistent with the manufacturer's labeling inside the boot. I measured the leather at the exposed heel pull tab at approximately 2 mm thick with very little compression, and the exposed edges of the upper appear similar. The suede has a real directional nap: brushing it one way or the other visibly changes its shade and appearance. The elastic Chelsea-style side panels are, of course, textile rather than leather. The removable full-length footbed is unusually substantial. I measure it at approximately 9 mm thick through most of the foot and about 5 mm from the ball of the foot forward. I can't independently determine the exact foam material, but there is certainly plenty of cushioning. The elastic gore also works very well. At the top I can stretch it from about 2 inches to 3 inches, so the boots open considerably when being put on. My lady normally wears a women's size 6, ordered her normal size, and says these fit perfectly with the winter socks she plans to wear with them. She finds them comfortable, supportive and warm, and they are very easy for her to pull on and off. The outsole has a surprisingly aggressive-looking tread, with lugs approximately 1 cm deep. However, the outsole material is quite soft and the individual lugs are flexible enough that I can bend them noticeably with finger pressure. That is consistent with the very lightweight construction and makes sense for a casual EVA-soled boot, but I would not mistake the appearance for that of a technical hiking boot. I would want a firmer, more abrasion-resistant sole for scrambling over rocks or other rugged terrain. The construction and finish on our pair are very good. Stitching is neat and consistent, the suede panels are well fitted, and I found no obvious workmanship defects. The seller describes the boots as water resistant. I haven't tested that claim, and suede would not be my first choice for prolonged wet-weather use. For our purposes these will be dry-weather winter boots. If we expected to wear them regularly in rain or slush, I would first treat the suede with a commercial water-protection product intended for suede footwear. For $55, I think these offer a excellent value for money: genuine suede leather, a thick removable footbed, very light weight, easy pull-on construction and excellent comfort. The deep but soft tread is better suited to casual winter wear than serious hiking, but that's exactly how my lady intends to use them. ... show more

I really like these boots. They have a cute, simple style that looks great with jeans or leggings, and the platform gives me a little extra height without feeling bulky.
