These are great, beefy, and well-priced shocks. The eyes are 5/8in / 16mm-ID, and there's an insert/adapter to reduce it to 1/2in / 12.7mm. My 2010 Yam XV250 had a 14mm mount post, so i had to buy a 14mm-ID/16mm-OD/22mm-L "sleeve bearing" to properly fit/shim it [...]

I am 260 and tried the standard shocks. They standards bottomed out when i first sat down and would have had to of been turned all the way up to support me. The shocks are very nice quality you just need to get the correct stiffness.

These really smoothed out my ride. Changed from stock to this because the stock ones were starting to bottom out a bit too much for my taste. Installed these and adjusted the pre-load up one notch from factory and 4+ hours if riding later I was happy as a clam.
