Heavier weights (1.0+ lb/ft) sink faster, but even our 0.75lb/ft sink faster than competitors with our custom monofilament line. Are these cast nets for saltwater or freshwater? All nets work in both, but rinse with clean water after use. Zinc-iron weights are rust-resistant for several months only and better suited for freshwater; lead and PVC protected weights are rustproof and ideal for all environments with proper care.
