I've used several different mops on my hardwood floors. They all had short handles and I was constantly stopping over. This one extends to make it easier and your bending over or stopping. I have 6 dogs in my house with vinyl laminate and tile floor. If used as directed using pad 1 dry moving across the floor picks up and grabs hair, dirt and dust. I then can use pad 2 wet to mop the floor. Pad 3 is for drying/shining the floor and can be used wet or dry. Afterwards I pop then in the washer. I use all 3 once a week and only use pad 1 everyday. My floor feel clean no gritty feeling on bare feet. Dog hair and dirt clings to the pad. The pole swivels and is easy to get under beds and furniture. Pad one is used to “.sweep” before you mop. Each pad is different and each pad is clearly marked. Each pad will also tell you if it is dry or wet/dry. Each pad is machine washable. If pad 1 for my house becomes dirty with just 1 room. So not to overload the dry pad 1 I take the pad off and over to the trash can and clean the pad of dog hair and dirt. I put it back on and do another room. By doing this I am assuring myself that the mop is picking up everything small and large and no broom is needed to pickup dirt left. I believe if I didn’t clean in between each room that the pad would get overloaded and leave dirt that needed to be swept up with a broom. With 6 dogs in my family I do get a lot of hair. I can easily tell if an area is more soiled than others because the microfiber cloth drags a little. I make a note of that area and apply more pressure when I mop with water with pad 2. My floors are clean and shine. I’ve had people ask me I keep the floors so clean. I bought extra cloths. I like how simple and easy to use I bought a dredge for my dads house. I think the mop is okay. What bothered me about this purchase was the time I had to wait and the delivery. The shipment was done in such a way, that made me think the most valuable mop on earth was coming to my house. I got updates by email and text messages. I was told someone 18 years or older had to sign for it. A mop! It's just a mop. Average in product production. How special can a mop be? Next time I will avoid Amazon and go to the store myself. ... show more

Update at bottom....In a nutshell, I didn't like first one. Read update at bottom.... I was trying to find a base to work with Norwex mop heads. This does that, so it got 2 stars. But it's hard to use. The pads don't pick up as well as Norwex or the less expensive ECloth and I returned it because The clip that prevents the swivel won't stay on. This got very irritating. The dust head did a good job on the ceiling fans, but with the clip falling off and the head coming loose it made the job irritating. I want cleaning to be less of a chore, not more. Update....Customer Service is great!! They gave me a new mop because clip falling off was a defect. The new mop is much better. It fits my Norwex tile scrubber pad. I used a sharpie and wrote on the back of each pad what it is used for. My kids love it. I'm not a fan of the pad with the white edge. It might work great for spider webs, but that's about it. I like the mop head. It's easy to get wet, wring out and mop a room. Rinse till water is clear and repeat with another room I read a trick with the dry duster. Fold it in half with blue touching blue and rub it vigorously against itself. This helps build a static charge so it picks up dust. Take it outside and just run you hand over the blue head and the dust falls off. Repeat. If money isn't an issue then spend over $100 on the Norwex, but for 95% of the cleaning power this whole mop system is the same price as one Norwex head. Overall I'm happy with this mop, especially once I found out the trick to making it static charge. ... show more

This thing is amazing. the microfiber pad picks up so much kitty fur that a normal dust mop would just sort of shoo around. And the medium pad works amazing with the new floor cleaning spray I got. Just spritz spritz spritz swish and done, and my floors look like someone professional (with lots of time and energy) did them. When the hair (I have long hair) or cat fur (I have three cats) starts to get really accumulated the loops seem to tangle it all together to make it one big un-floaty knot. Sounds almost gross, but actually made it easier to clean the floor, because that was easy to throw away without it just floating out of the garbage can. Easy pad on and off with the velcro, I could use a microfiber cloth if I wanted because of the pinch holders on the top of the dust mop. Easy to clean the pad, just toss in the wash with my other cleaning supplies that need to be laundered (mop heads, towels, rags, etc). I wash all that stuff on hot, but that's just me. I love the adjustable height feature too, although I have to admit I didn't notice the locking mechanism at the base of the mop at first (if you don't lock it at the setting you want it when you twist the mop the components move to be easily adjustable, but one it's locked you're good to go). Great range of motion, large size means fewer passes, and it's not super wide front to back so if you have a tight space you can just go at it sideways no problems. Can't say enough nice things about this mop for my laminate and tile floors. I'm about to send a link to a girlfriend of mine who also has cats and hardwood floors. Side note, the Black Diamond floor cleaner works great with this. ... show more
