I bought this on a whim, thinking it probably wouldn't work, but I was tired of dripping white wine bottles at gatherings, so I was surprised when it functioned well, as advertised. It won't keep white wine as cold as an ice bucket with ice in it, but the trade-off is that people can read the label on the bottle without removing the bottle, and it keeps the wine cold enough, long enough for the life of the bottle at the average party or gathering -- and there is no condensation ring from the bucket or drips from the bottle to damage the table it's sitting on. ... show more

I use this wine cooler for parties. I like that guests are able to serve themselves without having to worry about water dripping all over the place. It does a great job of keeping wine cool for hours. It does not keep the bottle as cold as it would be if submerged in ice. So, if you like your wine very cold, this may not be for you. I did have a caterer at one of our parties and she said that she was very impressed with this and that she would purchase some for her restaurant. She said that she did not believe this cooler would work when the party began, but was very impressed when the party was over and all wine had stayed cool. ... show more

Standard size bubble bottles fit perfectly. Big fat bottles will be snug in there. It’s unbelievable how long it keeps our stuff cold! Keep a pretty bottle to fill with OJ and you’ve got a beautiful and easy mimosa station. Also, you can pull out the insert and make it an actual ice bucket if you have fat bottles. It doesn’t not accommodate Champaign bottles. I bought this for a diner en blanc event to keep my Champaign chilled and bottle did not fit. I kept it though and used it recently for a party I had at my home and it did keep my white wine chilled.
