It does a good job of preserving the wine for future serving but comes with difficulties which are: 1) The pour is very,very slow and takes a very long time to pour a 5 ounce glass. 2) A you-tube video states that youu should get about 15 wine bottles out of 1 argon gas cannister but I'm getting only about 2 bottles. Per the cost of the argon cannister, this makes for a very expensive system. This is is mainly due to the excessive slow pour causing you to constantly press the lever to activate the gas. 3) The aerator is so tiny that the holes easily clog up and are very difficult to clean. ... show more

Coravins are great tools to have if you love wine. They’re extremely easy to use. It’s true that the needles break from time to time but that’s usually from user error. I’m a wine program director and work in a fancy winery in Napa and we use them with no problems. I like to write the date of first puncture on the bottle label because after about two weeks wines start getting flat. This time frame varies based on a few factors. I also notice that certain wines taste completely different (worse) through the coravin vs with pulled cork. All in all it’s a great product and I’m happy it exists. But the claim that you can keep a bottle at peak freshness for a year is obnoxious and the reason for 1 star removal. ... show more

Great product and easy to use. Current sale price of 25% off isn’t worth it. There has been bigger discounts in the past. If you are about saving your hard earned money I say wait for a better deal as current 2021 Black Friday deal of 25% off is no where near as great as last year. Last year had 50% off savings with additional freebies accessories. Wait for better deals in the meantime it’s more fun finishing the bottle lol ... show more
