I have a One Touch Ultra Mini that I have used for years but the strips can be so expensive. Plus One Touch no longer supports my meter. I chose this meter because it was so small and compact and the strips are affordable. It cost me less to buy them myself then go through my insurance so that was a big factor.     • Reasonably priced glucose testing kit
I purchased this kit because the testing strips I am currently using, for Abbott Freestyle lite, have become outrageously expensive. This kit has everything you need to test your glucose levels, including an excellent instruction manual that thoroghly explains the setup and use of all the components. Altogether, a good product at a good price. HOWEVER, the control solution is past its expiration date and the test strips are two weeks from expiration. I suppose, given the price of the kit, it still is a good deal but it is disappointing to pay for control solution that is not usable. ... show more
