One is the Apple Magic Keyboard case that I use when I need to type a good amount, but the other is this well built iPad cover that I use for drawing or when I will have limited space or want to sit on the couch just to browse the Internet. This case is well built and protects the iPad perfectly. It is a breeze to install on to the device and I can speak to that, because I put it on and off all the time. Owned this for 2 years. Barely use my iPad. I dropped it maybe 2 times, no lie. The plastic around the corners have all cracked and the case has can no longer function properly. For the price I’d say it was worth it.

Update: I bought this case in August 2024, it’s now January 5, 2025 and I need to buy a new case. All of the thin plastic edges over the 3 speakers have cracked off - and that was from normal use - just holding it. My iPad also slid off the arm of my chair and felt to the ground - thank goodness my ipad landed on a rug because the case literally just fell off - ZERO protection. Original review: I had to replace my apple "keyboard cover" as it stopped working and I didn't want to pay the price for another one (they only seem to last 2-3 years). I'm used to my keyboard cover being sturdy for holding up my large iPad and for the cover protecting it the few times I've dropped it but I don't have much faith in this new cover. First, it does automatically put my iPad to "sleep" and "awakens" it when I open it BUT if I turn my iPad ever so slightly with the cover closed it just flaps open so I don't believe it will protect it if it should slide off my lap like my apple keyboard cover would. Second, I also have the apple pen that attaches magnetically to the long edge of my iPad but with this cover it is constantly being knocked off when I close the cover because again, the cover does not stay put. Third, I like to use my iPad on my lap with it "standing up". This cover does have to capability to "create" a stand by folding it into a triangle but it's only secure if sitting on a flat surface. If you try to use it on your lap it constantly falls over. I just dropped my iPad off the arm of my chair and the iPad fell completely out - thank goodness it didn’t break! In my past experience the main job of a cover is for protection, this cover protects nothing. I would not recommend this product even by a little bit. Stay clear.

I wanted to love this case, but there's a fatal flaw that caused me to return it. When opened, there are no magnets to hold the cover against the back. So, when holding the tablet, the back cover slides up-and-down (especially for larger tablets). I'm gotten spoiled by similar cases for the Amazon Fire tablets (which do have the backside magnets), but alas, the Fire OS totally cripples an otherwise great implementation. (Sorry for the tangent.)
