I am older and feet get dry and cracked if I dont sand them every 2-3 days and have been doing that for years. Have tried every drug store sanding tool, including Home Depot Sanding blocks and Footlogix tool which only lasted a month before it was useless. This tool work very very well- my feet are restored back to baby bottom soft- seriously. I also use Lac Hydrin CREAM not lotion- then socks - and it is a whole new world, My feet feel lighter and better- callous feet any callous including heel build up makes standing and walking unpleasant and you may not even know it until you remove ALL of it. HIGHLY recommend this and will be buying it again. Just got it so dont know about lasting power- but I dont care- even if I have to buy it every month- SO worth it. Get as comfortable as you can in shower as there will be much sandy powder coming off your foot- DO NOT WET YOUR FEET- you must dry sand. And start sanding. Go easy with COARSE side it is intense- Highly recommend Lac Hydrin 12% cream it is life changing for any dry skin, especially older folks :) ... show more

I can be very critical when it comes to products, as a consumer I like to get the most for the money I paid for, this foot apparatus really works! It exfoliates easily and gently. Honestly I’ve had edema in my feet & legs and because of it my shoes tend too rub excessively around my big toe and heels, I had callouses that had horns on them and this took care of of it, I really wasn’t looking forward to having to do this painstaking job, but it wasn’t that bad I had to put a little arm work to it, but not so bad as it exfoliates pretty easily and go all different directions makes it even more efficient. All I can say is that it cleared my callouses and don’t have no rough edges on my feet, good safe product I recommend. ... show more

This is amazing. Kind of nervous to use at first but I've had no problems. Just LISTEN to the instructions. Use on DRY FEET ONLY! You can hurt yourself with this thing so be careful. I usually only use the medium side, there is also a coarse side but my feet don't really need the extra grit. Also, do this in the bathroom where you can make your mess and clean it up easily.. because you will make a messsss girrrl. I usually do this before i shower, then moisturize my feet really good after a shower, put on foot balm then socks immediately to lock on the moisture. GET IT! IT'S SO AWESOME! ... show more

Let me preface this by saying my feet are terrible. Sorry, no photos because like, they're so terrible I don't want to subject anyone to them. I don't even like getting actual professional pedicures because I find the condition of my feet so embarrassing. I take martial arts, I spend a ton of time in the summer walking around barefoot on concrete and at the pool, I was a server for 5 years with all the on-your-feet that entails, and have done overall a lot of walking (in differing types of footwear) leading up to the recent stay at home orders. As such, I regularly develop huge, thick, rough calluses all over my heels, the sides of my big toes, and a couple other random spots on the edge of my feet. Rough like, rip through stockings, snag literally everything, can use my heel to scratch an itch on my opposite leg and leave actual scratches if I'm not careful rough. Back to the avoiding pedicures, I've also tried a bunch of at-home things that supposedly help. From those scary cheese grater type things, to all the lotions that say they get rid of them, to those cheap flimsy plastic handles with like white sandpaper stickers on them, I've tried them all at some point. Nothing works beyond some superficial smoothing, so I did not have high hopes for this. I got it because of the ad video that played when I was looking for a foot soaking tub and because of the reviews. I got this this afternoon along (with that foot soaking tub), figuring if I'm stuck in the house most of the time at least I can try to get my feet to a non-horrifying level by summer. Quarantine DIY pedicure. I was so eager to see if this lived up to us claims that I didn't even wait to use the tub to soak and dry first. I just grabbed this puppy, sat down on the patio with my feet in the grass (so glad I did, more on that in a minute), and started filing away. The handle on this is easy to hold. Unlike those flimsy flat plastic ones, it's cylindrical and contoured so I didn't feel like I was fighting to keep a grip on it. It did not flex and bend like it was going to snap. While visually I was skeptical about just how much grit the coarse and medium sides had, upon touching it you can really feel that there's so much more than there is to one of those sandpaper strips. From the first stroke, I was immediately beginning to accumulate a fine pile of gross white callus powder. Hence being glad I thought to sit outside with this. I filed away with the coarse side, tapping it off occasionally if it got a little too gunky, and even managed (with a little difficulty because the file is wide) to finagle hitting the two calluses I had on the top of both my smallest toes on each foot. (I had to basically prop up each toe with my other hand so I was only going over the callused spot.). Then I followed up with the medium side. It felt smoother but still looked awful, all powdery and ashy everywhere, even after brushing myself of. I had to rely on feel to see where to go over more with the medium file, but I got it done. Then I rinsed off. Holy cow! I won't say my calluses are 100% gone (I honestly could have done more with the coarse side on my heel pads especially, but it was hard to tell at the time because of all the gross dead skin and I didn't want to go to deep by accident) but we are talking MEGA IMPROVEMENT. The last time I braved a pedicure they did not look NEARLY this good, even with another human being sitting there filing me down for like...an embarrassingly long amount of time. And I got this done in like 15 minutes by myself on my porch. I am way, WAY impressed. If I go another round with it, and keep up with it every so often when I start noticing I'm getting snaggy, I have no doubt I'll finally be able to wear sandals without feeling like everyone is staring at my hooves. I used to have soft smooth feet. Always wore socks. Then pandemic hit. I transitioned to slides and shortly thereafter came dry crusty old man-feet. I bought the rechargeable grinding wheels ( may have been me -technique, weak batteries?), the cheese grater ( made feet rough or cut me) the extra large Emory board glued to plastic handles (too fine, loads up too fast). None of these did the trick. If I only would have purchased this first. I would suggest placing a towel down or something to catch the mound of dead-skin dust this effective item produces.
