This is my 2nd purchase of this product. The first one lasted 4 years, but finally broke after repeated falls due to the uneven level on the subway tile in my shower. They include a thin rubbery disc with adhesive on one side and perfectly smooth on the other side to solve this problem. I'm so happy with this solution. I overlooked it when I took it out of the box, and may have overlooked it last time too. In any case This is a great mirror for shaving in the shower and the addition of solution to the nagging problem I am very pleased.

Had this for a bit under two years, and suction is okay, it falls every few times a month and has to have suction depressurized to the wall every now and then. Aside from that it does the job. However around 23 months in, the mirror fell off from its plastic piece by the base, it seems like there is resin holding the plastic and suction cup together which eventually degrades and comes apart. From the merchant on this product page they claim to have a 2-year warranty and provide an email. However, after submitting an email and follow-up email after 3 business days, my email or request for warranty went unacknowledged, hence me posting this review. If buying this, I suggest paying with a visa signature card so you can utilize your credit card's extended warranty perks in case this fails on you like it did for me. Update: customer service responded around 5-6 business days and offered to send me a replacement. I will bump from 2 to 4 stars, mainly because a warranty of 2 years is very generous for a company.

If you are like me you keep trying different shaving mirrors and end up disappointed at too much fog or not enough longevity. I’ve also tried the type you run under hot water—they re-fog fast. I first found ProBeautify’s model about four years ago and find I get a year out of each one. That’s fair. Solid and reliable.

I use this to shave in the shower. My first attempts to get it to stick were not successful. I peeled off the plastic cover on the suction surface and cleaned the shower wall with rubbing alcohol. Then I pressed it to the wall and rotated the collar until it clicked. It fell off within the hour. The next two tries were no more effective. But here's what worked for me: 1) Start out with the suction disk flat. 2) Make sure the wall is clean. 3) Wipe the wall down with rubbing alcohol for good measure. 4) Get into the shower so you can look directly into the mirror for proper placement. 5) Pour a little alcohol onto the disk and immediately press it into place. It is important that the suction disk should be flat and wet. You cannot create a suction if you start out with a concave disk. If the wall is also wet, so much the better. 6) Rotate the locking collar clockwise until it clicks. I will come back and update if that doesn't hold for the long haul but so far so good. UPDATE (1/11/2021): I was a little too quick to speak initially. The mirror won't stay stuck on the shower wall indefinitely. That is not to say it's a bad mirror. I found that about every four days or so, I'd hear a crash in the bathtub. That was the mirror letting go of the acrylic wall. The mirror seemed to not suffer any damage when it did it but it was annoying. We have come to an accommodation: about every third day, I release the clamp and rewet the suction cup with either water or rubbing alcohol, then reapply it to the shower wall. It no longer falls off the wall. Still, I don't feel I would have to do that if the clamping system were better. I have safety bars attached to my shower walls that are also attached via suction cups, and they stay in place for months before they fall off. So I find myself reducing my rating from five stars to four.

I bought this for my son to hang in the shower so he can shave his face while bathing (much better for your skin!) This little guy is SOLID! So easy to hang up and STAYS PUT! We’ve had it for 8 months and hasn’t budged. It doesn’t fog up while in the shower and doesn’t get buildup. You definitely need this!

Although I would have liked it to have lasted longer, 3 years seems like a decent amount of time for this to last. The suction cup on this mirror is excellent. Don't buy a cheaper one with a plain suction cup. This locks into place and holds the seal very, very well. Over the past three years, mine fell off three times. The first time, the frame got a little ding. The second time, there was no damage. The third time, it actually didn't lose the seal, but the suction cup disconnected from the holder. Two of the times, the razor that was hanging on it busted. The hanger for a razor is very handy. I don't really have anywhere convenient to set a razor in the shower, so this worked perfectly. The mirror was very "fog-proof" the first year or two, but the past year or two it has fogged up. Trying to rinse it with water doesn't help. What seems to help (only temporarily) is putting a little shampoo on it and letting water partially rinse it off. Then, it's fog-proof long enough to shave. With the suction cup disconnecting, it was finally time to replace it. Before I purchased another one, I checked competing products. Several had cheaper suction cups or no razor hanger. No thanks. A few looked identical or almost identical. One was about $5 cheaper so I went with that one. I'll probably replace it more often -- once it starts fogging up. (Unless I can find a way to restore the anti-fog surface.) I'm also going to make sure the suction cup is securely locked down at least once a month.

This was NOT a fog-free mirror. I would always have to wipe it down to see through it. This would stay on the wall for a month and then would fall. It finally fell and broke into many pieces. I recommend purchasing a different mirror because this one was riddled with issues.

Installation was easy and this mirror is not going anywhere. Occasionally give it a good bump while in the shower and stays firmly attached. The magnification is great. I wear glasses and would not be able to see well enough to shave without it. Took one star away because the mirror does tend to fog up. Can easily clear it with a hand wipe, but might have to do that several times during a shave.

I've bought two of these, the first a few years ago. The anti-fog didn't last all that long, but it worked pretty great as a shower mirror on a swivel. The suction would eventually fail maybe twice a year, but the mirror never cracked (though the razor holder splintered and was a little sharp.) I bought a new one to replace it recently. In my first shower with it, I noticed a small bit of bubbling on the side that spread slowly through the rest of the mirror by the end of the shower. I think this is the anti-fog coating. I poked it a bit to try and stop it and it felt like a plastic layer was just coming apart. The swivel and anti-cracking are the best reasons to get this, in my opinion.

I bought this to replace one I’ve had for 3 years. I did do as we have hard water that leaves a white film on it. It’s hard to remove and it makes image as cloudy as fog. I thought new one would make the difference but I am back to a cloudy mirror in 2 mos
