I used it heavily for knocking and batting practice and it does its job. The shine is maintained for quite a while, though the ball cracked a bit near the seam, but i guess it had to do with heavy use of batting practice. The rope is ideal for not being annoying (black color) so that you can just focus on the ball and at the same time, strong enough to withstand heavy strokes.

The Pro Impact cricket hanging ball is par for the course at this price point. I've found the hanging ball to be good value in the matter of quickly improving batting technique, plus kids seem to prefer knocking a hanging ball back and forth to other forms of batting drills. Apart from the peril involved in being an unsuspecting passerby in the firing line of an inadvertently misdirected 5 1/2 ounce projectile, it's all upside.

I play for a cricket league and leather helps me practice a small crack on it but no problem but then the material felt like trash personally don’t buy this if u already have it you might as well keep it

Has a very nice feel. Slight unevenness is the stitching. Seems handstitched. Docking a star for the uneveness in the seam. 65 stitches on the outer and inner seams. Made in India. I collect cricket balls cos I no longer play. I used to be an opening pace bowler. Every ball I buy I compare to a ball I played with many years ago a friend received a set as a gift. The ball was not exactly red but slightly orange. It felt almost like an orange to the touch. The movement in that ball was incredible. It lasted many overs. Keep in mind - we normally played with machine made balls that were nowhere near international standards. I don't remember the brand of those amazing cricket balls, but I'll keep looking.

I ordered these balls based on the reviews but the quality of the ball is nowhere closer. We played just 12 overs and the first ball cracked open, then the second ball didn't even last for 5 overs. We usually play with Vicky Hard tennis balls and I have never seen that getting cracked. This Pro-Impact is completely a horrible product and $17 for 6 balls is crazy. Please stay away from this ball and better get a Vicky (from India) or even Cosco from somewhere else.

Product works exactly as advertised. One minor flaw is the quality of the string. The threading started to unravel about first day, but it has held even through out hours of knocking so far. Just don't see it lasting more than a month maybe. The design of the ball is simple enough that the string can be replaced moderately easily though.
