not even close to pro club quality. i received two 2xl t-shirts that were of horrible quality and the neck on them was so large that i could almost slip all the way through. i am not a small guy. do not waste your money here.

I purchased this shirt for my son who needed it for his basketball games. The shirt was a very close match of the color I needed and looked perfect when it arrived. Unfortunately, after one wash on delicate cycle (washed with one other shirt) it started coming apart around the collar. I had to sew several spots, so he could wear it again (see pictures). Worst fit ever. XXLT but the neck hole is barely bigger than my fist. Thick wide collar feels like a turtle neck. I thought I could wear them as Pj's but the neck is just to much discomfort. I do not have a above average size neck nor have I experienced this issue with any brand ever before. Looks like I'll have some rags to wash the car with. ... show more

These are nice looking shirts and the quality of the fabric is not bad... but I agree with someone else that the neck is very tight ....also I wash these shirts for my husband who bought them...and you have to treat them like handwash... you have to wash them in cold water and dry them on low heat..( per the instructions or they will shrink drastically ..because I didn't read the directions and they did....didn't think I'd have to for a T-shirt) and this is just not practical for a guy's T-shirt when you might spill something on it... food oil whatever.... to not be able to wash it in warm water…. so they are just not worth the trouble...unless you figure out how much bigger of a size you will need to account for the shrinkage if you want to wash them the way you ought to be able to wash a normal T-shirt ... pain in the butt and I've got enough hand watch ... show more

Just as advertised, the shirt is heavyweight cotton. But something strange is done to the "100% cotton" fabric to destroy the expected soft cotton feel and replace it with a rough, uncomfortable canvas feel. The "Large" shirt is smaller and more tightly fitting than other brands of the same nominal size. I am of average build, and the shirt tail is just barely long enough to function on me by staying tucked into my pants. When worn untucked, the short tail makes it look as small as it feels. After a few hours, the neck band, which is too tight and too rough, becomes quite uncomfortable. I have heavy weight 100% cotton shirts of other brands that are very soft and comfy, like I expect cotton to feel. When I received the Pro Club shirt, I first washed it in a normal load of t-shirts. I really expected its coarseness to soften after the wash, but it did not. In the ad for the shirt shown on Amazon.com is the clue that I ignored: the sleeves of the shirt on the model are standing out like wings, just like they do on my new shirt. It’s a nice shirt. I love the thickness of it, how the collar is closed in on the neck ( even on larger sizes, the collar stays closed in on the neck ). It’s just the Small size is small compared to other Small sized clothes I’ve bought but that’s fine because I can use this as an undershirt. Unless you plan to use it as an undershirt, buy it a size bigger than what you normally wear. For reference: I’m 5’ 2”, 104lbs. Though this is technically a review for the black shirt, the same applies to the white shirt. I only have a picture of me wearing the white one. ... show more

    • Best Neck retention and Heavy weight

It is hard to find a Tee shirt that the neck doesn't stretch out quickly. Remember a couple of decades ago Penney's had shirts with almost no stretch necks (Wash after wash after wash), and there were a couple of others. This one is better than most today. The neck lasts a while before starting to stretch. But it does still stretch just not as much as all the others I have tried over the past decades. It isn't made of thin material either. It has some weight to it (Remember that as well in the old days?). So for now this is the Tee shirt of choice. Especially for the winter. I recommend these. They are quality made. ... show more
