I am so pleased with the performance of this sheet protector that I just ordered two more. I have two elderly dogs, one of which is losing sensation in his back end. I've had him for his whole life (age 6 weeks onward) and he likes nothing more than to lay next to me on the coach while I grade papers, do schoolwork, etc. He's been a sweetheart since day one, and I am not going to stop letting him be on the coach just because of this issue. That's where these sheet protectors come in. Two will cover the my entire coach. I situate them so that a a "flap" is both under and behind him. Works perfectly. Completely waterproof. Absorbent. Washable. Inexpensive. Durable. What more do you want? I could buy stock in this company. Update 072414: I just received my sixth one of these things. I truly cannot live without them. Have used them now for about 4 months, with frequent washing (sometimes once a day) and decided that I need to rotate them instead of washing the same two over and over again. It's a Godsend. It's snuggly, but not too warm for my dog. Very comfortable, and contrary to other reviews, my don't move around much at all. I am also recommendation them to my daughter, who is due to have a baby soon. Who wants to strip a bed every time the baby's diaper leaks? ... show more

    • Great pad, and a suggestion for keeping it in place
Update May 30, 2016: I've been using these for just over a year now and they still work great. (I originally purchased 3, so that I could use 2 stacked on top of the bed at a time. That way if he's weaker than usual, I can just roll my brother over, remove the wet pad, and roll him back onto the dry one underneath for minimal disturbance.) They've held up to a year's worth of laundering quite well, although that may be as much due to the fact I often let them air-dry, since they're fully dry by the evening if I wash them first thing and it isn't too humid. Definitely worth every penny and I'll buy them again. >><<>><< Initial Review: Bought 3 of these for my disabled brother. They absorb well, and protect the sheets as described. So far, they wash and dry well with normal laundry methods. He's heavy-set, with mobility issues, so when he gets out of bed, he tends to drag the pad with him. I got around this by using two 1/2-inch-wide yards of waistband elastic I had lying around already, and a pair of sheet-clips, like these: http://www.amazon.com/Original-Sheet-Suspenders-adjustable-Celebrating/dp/B00451BG2G/ref=pd_sim_201_4?ie=UTF8&refRID=08XMBFX20SHDHSNVB9CP . I looped each yard of elastic around the bedframe, opposite of 'his' side of the bed, the width of the pad apart. Now, when he slides off the bed, the elastic lets the pad go with him (which prevents the clips from tearing the pad), but as soon as he stands up, the pad slides right back into place, ready for when he returns. ... show more

    • Worth the money
It definitely absorbs urine well. I have continence problems due to Lymphedema, making it harder for me to move quickly when I'm in bed. I need a backup just in case an accident is about to happen. It works wonders, and I would recommend it. The only downside is that I got them in 2020, and last month, January 2024, they didn't absorb like before. I will be placing another order this month ... show more

    • Finally real waterproof coverage!
After wasting money on various "waterproof" mattress covers that weren't actually waterproof, we decided to give it one last shot with this as an alternative solution and were not disappointed. We got the larger sized one and while it only covers one side of the bed, it covers the full length of that particular side. The cover itself is made of quality material, is surprisingly soft, is washable and doesnt make a terrible crinkle or plastic sound when you move on it. Its thick enough to do what its supposed to and thin enough to not be a nuisance to sleep on. My only complaint, and its a frustrating one, is that the thing doesn't stay in place. It moves all around and eventually ends up not providing the coverage it should due to it shifting and not covering the whole area it was originally laid over. This happens even when used under a fitted sheet. If they were to add straps or some sort of way to stabilize it, this would be a 5 star product. I still highly recommend this if you are looking for actual waterproof coverage and are tired of wasting money on similar products with bogus claims. I would definitely buy it again, just be aware you'll either have to get creative with making it stay put, or just re-adjust its positioning on a daily basis. ... show more

WHAT I LIKED -A wide variety of sizes to choose from -Washes and drys well -Feels durable -Exactly as described and pictured on Amazon MY EXPERIENCE WITH IT -I originally purchased this while I was pregnant, just in case my water decided to break while in bed. It didn't, but I'm still glad I had that security, we had just gotten a brand new memory foam mattress and I did not want to ruin it! I still use it now, for days when I'm on my period. It works great, I like it better than a full mattress cover for this use because it is easier to remove and can stay only on my side of the bed, I was worried it would bother my husband. I purchased the 34 x 76 size, we have a king size bed and it fits my side of the bed almost perfectly from head to toe (just a few inches short). The upper material is soft and there is no noise from the liner as you move on it. It doesn't move too much, just needs to be adjusted after a couple of days, but thats not a big deal. -The thickness is what you would expect from 4 layers of fabric. It’s perfect for its purpose and comfortable. If it had more padding it would probably loose its functionality. OVERALL -This is perfect for protecting your mattress from expected stains. However, if you are just looking for a typical mattress protector to save it from years of dust/dirt then I’d recommend getting an all over fitted protector. ... show more
